THE BOY VS. DAVID LEE
The match started off quickly, with both men locking up. Both seemed to gain the advantage at some points, but Hellings quickly broke out of it, and hit Lee with a quick poke in the eye. He clotheslined him down to the ground, and left the ring. He grabbed the ladder from the ramp, and tried to put it into the ring. He was met by a dropkick from Lee, and the ladder hit into his face. Hellings hit the ground, and Lee jumped over the rope, and hit him with a legdrop. He slid back into the ring, and brought the ladder with him. He tried to set it up, but Hellings managed to get into the ring, and push him off it just as he was climbing up.
Kevin Richards: ‘Damn, he hit’s the mat hard!’
Nick Richards: ‘Body bombs!’
Lee and Hellings began brawling with each other, punches and kicks. Lee slammed Hellings into the turnbuckle and grabbed the ladder. He set it over Hellings, and goes to the opposite turnbuckle. He ran at him, but was met by a ladder to the face, thrown by Scott Hellings. Lee hit the mat, and Hellings set the ladder over him. He jumped onto the top rope, with a body splash. He hit the ladder with a thundering clatter, and the fans looked on, knowing that things could only get better. Both men were down.
Kevin Richards: ‘What a great show by Hellings! I didn’t know he had it in him...’
Nick Richards: ‘He’s The Boy! He’s got everything in him!’
Lee now had blood pouring from his face. Both men began to move, and Hellings was the first man standing. He grabbed the ladder again, and headed over to Lee. He attempted to hit him with it, but Lee grabbed him in time and rammed him into the ropes. Hellings propelled off them, and hits Lee with the ladder, and hit the mat. Hellings dropped the mat, and left the ring. He grabbed another ladder from ringside, and put it into the ring. He set it up leaning against the ropes, facing the commentary table.
Kevin Richards: ‘I don’t like the look of this...’
Nick Richards: ‘More body bombs!’
Hellings grabbed the other ladder, and slammed it over the head of Lee, who had just come to. He dropped the ladder, and threw Lee out of the ring, and followed behind him. They both began to brawl, and Hellings slammed Lee’s head into the commentary table. Hellings climbed the table, bringing Lee with him. Kevin and Nick scatter from the table. Hellings slammed Lee down onto the table with a spinebuster, but it didn’t seem to break.
Kevin Richards: ‘He doesn’t seem happy about that...he’s entering the ring.’
Nick Richards: ‘He’s not...OH MY GOD!’
Hellings now ran at the ladder leaning against the ropes, and jumped from the top of it, landing on Lee with a huge splash. Both men seemed seriously injured. NSW EMT’s began to run down to the ring, followed by James Higgins and Samuel Clark. The match seemed to be over, as EMT’s tried to get them all to leave the arena. Hellings and Lee didn’t seem to want to leave. Hellings and Lee began to lay all the EMT’s down, and Lee clotheslines the NSW General Manager to the ground.
Kevin Richards: ‘Uh oh...’
Nick Richards: ‘Not a good idea on David Lee’s part...’
Hellings hit Lee with an axe handle, and slide him into the ring. Blood was pouring from both men at this point. They both began to exchange punches, and Hellings got the upper hand. He grabbed the ladder, and slammed it into Lee. Lee grabbed his face in pain. Hellings lay the ladder on top of him, and ran off the ropes, and hit him with a leg drop. He then grabbed his knee in agonising pain. The NSW General Manager, Samuel Clark then entered the ring, and set up the ladder. He pulled Hellings up, and told him to start climbing. Hellings began climbing, and as Lee got up, Samuel Clark speared him to the ground. Hellings grabbed the title, as the bell rang. Samuel Clark grabbed a microphone from ringside.
Samuel Clark: ‘Did you like that David Lee? Huh playa? Nobody hits me! You gonna be sorry...YOU’RE FIRED!’
Lee stared at him in shock, as Samuel Clark headed backstage, and left Hellings celebrating in the ring, as the scene faded to black.
