matches: THE BOY VS. BIG DADDY BRUCE

"Breathe" by Nickelback hits the Air Canada Centre's PA system, and the sold-out crowd nearly blows the roof off of the arena. Scott Hellings appears from the back and recieves an enormous pop from his home country's fans. The Boy power walks down the ramp, soaking up the massive fan support he is recieving.

Lillian: The following match is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the RWW Undisputed Title. Making his way to the ring, the challenger, weighing 255 pounds...SCOTT "THE BOY" HELLINGS!!! Hellings hops up onto the mat and climbs through the ropes. He poses for a bit, and the fans eat it all up. And then...

N...W...O!!!

Treble Charger's "Brand New Low" drowns out the crowd noise, as Big Daddy Bruce walks out onto the stage, RWW Undisputed Title flung over his shoulder. BDB points down at the ring and then at the belt, telling Hellings that he is going to have a long road ahead of him to win the title.

Lillian: And his opponent, weighing 260 pounds, he is the RWW Undisputed Champion...BIG DADDY BRUCE!!!

BDB slowly creeps down the ramp, keeping an eye on Hellings the whole way down. He finally arrives and rolls into the ring under the bottom rope. BDB climbs to the second turnbuckle, so that he can raise the belt up and taunt the fans. He eventually hops back down and hands the belt to Nick Patrick, who raises it above his head with two hands.

Tenay: This is it, Brain. This is what the fans have been waiting for: BDB to finally get his.

Brain: We'll see, "Professor".

Tenay: Well, Nick Patrick has called for the bell, and this bout is actually underway! BDB and Hellings meet in the middle of the ring, and they are right in each other's faces! You can feel the tention from here, Brain.

Brain: Oh, ok. I was wondering what that was.

Tenay: Shut up.

BDB and Hellings continue to stare each other down, until The Boy strikes with a huge right hand! He drives BDB back into a corner with some more punching, and he gains the early upperhand.

Tenay: Hellings has come out with a fire in his eye tonight, Brain, and there is no one who can save Bruce from the beating he deserves. Hellings now driving some knee strikes right into Bruce's ribs, and Scott does not want to let BDB even get an opportunity to remove himself from that corner. Hellings whips BDB across the ring into the opposite corner, charges, and Scott lands a huge body splash!!! He pulls himself away from BDB, and Bruce simply collapses to the ground. Early domination here by The Boy, and Brain, Bruce's days as champ are numbered.

Brain: I wish I could say the same for my days of working with you.

Tenay: You took the words right out of my mouth, Brain. Hellings drags the stilll dazed BDB back up to his feet, whips him off the ropes and drives him into the mat hard with a powerslam!!! Cover by Hellings...one...two...kick out by BDB! He just found enough to get out of that one. I thought for sure that Hellings had him there. Now, Scott is once again lifting BDB back up, and he is just having his way with him here early on. Hellings with the Irish whip into the ropes, and he lifts BDB over his head with the military press! Awesome display of power by The Boy. He drops BDB right onto this face, and here is another cover. One...two..th...NO! Bruce found the bottom rope with his foot, and he narrowly avoided losing the title. Now, Brain, how can you deny the fact that Scott Hellings is the better wrestler? He has dominated BDB for a good 5 minutes now.

Brain: That might be good enough for you and all the humanoids out there, but until Scott pins The Icon, he isn't the champ.

Tenay: Well, you do have a point, but at this rate, that pin won't be far away.

The Boy stands and watches, as BDB attempts to pull himself up using the ropes. When he finally does, Scott jumps to the attack and boots Bruce right in the gut, setting him up for a powerbomb.

Tenay: This could end it all, Brain. Hellings tries to get BDB up, but Bruce has a hold of Scott's legs. BDB with the back body drop out of desperation, and he just barely saved himself that time. Bruce now leaning up against the ropes and trying to catch his breath after that beating Hellings adminstered early on. But BDB not wasting anymore time, and he has decided to take the boots right to Scott, just as The Boy was trying to get to his feet. It appears as if BDB is looking to continue on that ruthless streak of his.

Brain: It made him champ, Tenay. Maybe you should do some more homework.

Tenay: Maybe you should remove your lips from Big Daddy Bruce's hind parts. BDB pulling Hellings up, scoops up onto his shoulder and slams him back down to the floor. Cover by Bruce, but he doesn't even hook the leg...one...quick kick out by Hellings. BDB screaming at Nick Patrick, but that was his own fault. He made a lazy cover.

Brain: Nick Patrick is cheating again. He is always cheating. It's one big conspiracy against BDB.

Bruce finally lets up on his agruement with the referee and returns to continue his assault on Hellings. But he is instead met with a right hand from a risen Boy!!!

Tenay: Hellings back to his feet and with avengence! Big right hands by The Boy, and BDB is reeling backwards. Hellings takes a step back, charges at Bruce, and he sends the champ flying over the top with a huge clothesline!!! Hellings trying to raise the roof, and the fans are behind him 100%! This place is electric!!!

Brain: Wow, big deal. A bunch of Canadians cheering for Hellings. Big surprise there. You know, the Germans cheered Hitler.

Tenay: You're a sick man, Brain. Nick Patrick is beginning to count out BDB, and Bruce is merely pacing around on the outside. I think he is trying to devise a new plan for this match, because the one he's using now hasn't been too successful. Scott reaches over the top, and he had BDB by the hair!!! Bruce stomping around and trying to get free of Hellings' grip. The fans are just dying from the laughter, and I can't blame them.

Just as Hellings goes to pull BDB into the ring by his hair, the champ gains some balance and drops Scott's throat right across the top rope, knocking the wind right out of The Boy.

Brain: Ha! How funny was that, Tenay???

Tenay: BDB slides back into the ring, and now he is looking to take advantage of that cheap move from the outside. Bruce just whailing away at Scott's mid-section with some vicious kicks. Lately, he has really taken a big leap from the legendary technician he once was and is using a whole new brawling arsenal. BDB drops down to his knees and slaps a sleeper hold on

Hellings! The Boy looks to be in a big trouble here. Brain: The greatest technician ever, and he is going to work this ham-and-egger over!!!

Tenay: Bruce tightening the hold and cutting off the blood to Hellings' head.

Brain: You could have fooled me...I never even knew he had blood running to his head.

Tenay: You never cease to amaze me, Brain. Hellings' eyes now fluttering, and he appears to be passing out!!! It can't end like this. Nick Patrick drops down, and he lifts Hellings' arm up and let's it drop...

One...

Brain: Stick a fork in him!

Tenay: Nick Patrick raises Scott's arm again, and it once again falls lifelessly down...

Two...

Tenay: Nick puts two fingers up, and this bout is almost over, and I can't believe it. Patrick takes Hellings' arm one more time, and he is shaking his head in disgust. BDB is screaming for him to raise it, and Nick Patrick must do it. He holds it up as long as he can, and it dro...NO! Hellings' thrusts his arm up, and Bruce's face turns red! He's trying to apply more pressure to that sleeper hold, but Hellings is fighting to get back to his feet. The Boy is up, and now he is trying to shake free of BDB. Big elbow strikes to the gut, and Bruce releases his grip.

Hellings drops BDB with a big clothesline. Bruce hops right back to his feet, but he is once again floored by Hellings' power, and the crowd goes nuts.

Brain: Do you hear these humanoids? Hellings sneaks a few shots in, and they get excited?

Tenay: Oh, The Boy is not about to let Big Daddy Bruce walk out of the Air Canada Centre as the RWW Undisputed Champion, and that is just the bottom line in all of this. Hellings gets BDB back up and whips him into the ropes. Scott goes for another huge clothesline, but Bruce ducks it! Hellings spins around, but he gets met with a swift kick to the gut. BDB wraps his hand right around Hellings' throat. What the the hell is he up to? Bruce puts his left hand on Scott's back, lifts him off the ground and...CHOKESLAM!!! How the hell did Bruce do that?

Brain: He stole The Boy's move! I love it!

Tenay: Big Daddy Bruce is laughing and taunting the fans. He knows this one is over, but he is taking too much time.

Brain: Bruce could go out and catch a bit to eat, and he would still get the pin. This one is over!

Tenay: Cocky cover by BDB. One...two...SCOTT GOT HIS SHOULDER UP!!! These fans are going wild, and Bruce is pissed. He should have pinned him right away, Brain.

Brain: He's che...

Tenay: Shut up with the cheating bs. BDB getting right into Nick Patrick's face, and he wants an explanation. The only one is this: you should covered him earlier. Patrick threatening to disqualify BDB here, and I don't blame him. BDB cocks back his right hand to clock the referee, but Hellings gets back to his feet, grabs Bruce's arm and spins him around. He tucks BDB's head between his legs and sends him for the ride of his life with a devestating powerbomb!

Tenay: Huge powerbomb by The Boy! Hey, maybe we can call it the Boybomb! No matter what you call it, Hellings just took this one over. The fans want the cover here, but Scott is just staring down at BDB. What on earth is he doing?? Hellings picks Bruce's legs up off the ground, and he appears to be calling out to the fans for something. Scott turns BDB over onto his stomach and...yes...yes, Hellings slaps The Bigg Finish on BDB! This is a whole dose of Bruce's own medicine!!! BDB violently shaking his head "no", and I don't think he can believe Scott has got him in his own submission move.

Brain: I think this is trademark infringement!

Nick Patrick is down on the mat, trying to see if BDB will tap, but the champs keeps screaming "no", as Hellings attempts to pull even further back on The Bigg Finish. Somehow, Bruce wiggles out of the move a bit and begins to pull himself and The Boy towards the ropes...

Tenay: Bruce trying to get to the ropes, and Hellings is doing his best to keep them towards the center of the ring. BDB stretching out every, last centimeter of his 6 foot 6 inch frame...and he got the bottom rope! Nick Patrick telling Hellings to break the hold, and The Boy does. Hellings was a heart beat away from the belt there, Brain.

Brain: Nonsense. Big Daddy Bruce is just playing him into his trap.

Tenay: And what trap is that?

Brain: After the match, I'll tell you...

Tenay: I bet. BDB trying to pull himself up using the ropes, and you can see that The Bigg Finish took its toll on him. Bruce hobbles up to Hellings and goes for the big right. Scott ducks it, lifts BDB off of the ground and implants him with a big spinebuster! Cover...one...two...just got the shoulder up! I don't know where Bruce found that.

Brain: It can't be the same place you find your wardrope!

Tenay: That's great, Brain.

Hellings flexes for a bit, pumping up the crowd further. He goes to get Bruce back to his feet, but BDB delivers a huge knife-edge chop to Scott's chest, and The Boy hunches over.

Tenay: BDB grabs Scott's legs, and he flips him onto his back! No, Scott get out of there! Bruce turns Hellings over, and now The Bigg Finish is locked in on The Boy.

Brain: It's over, Tenay! I can smell the victory from here.

Tenay: Oh no, Brain, Hellings isn't going to lay down and die here. BDB pulling back as far as he can on that submission move, but The Boy is refusing to tap. Nick Patrick is right down in Scott's face, but he is telling the official that he won't do it.

The crowd begins to chant Hellings' name, and The Boy appears to feed off of it, as he tries to pull a page out of BDB's playbook and pull them over to the ropes!!

Tenay: Hellings now using every last bit of strength he has to get him and BDB over to the ropes, so that Nick Patrick can have Bruce break the hold. Hellings reaching out, and he is almost there. This hold is going to be broken...

Brain: No, it's not! That will be cheating!

Tenay: Scott is only inches away...no!!! BDB just dragged Hellings allllll the way back to the center of the ring! My God, where did he pull that strength out from?? Bruce just pulling further and further back on The Bigg Finish, and he has that demonic look in his face! He wants to hurt Scott Hellings!!!

Brain: Tap, Boy, tap!

Tenay: Hellings still won't tap, though, Brain! Nick Patrick is trying to convince him here, but he won't. This might be more pigheaded than brave. BDB will not stop until Hellings can't walk anymore.

Hellings' face is painted red with pain, and he is grinding his teeth together, but yet, he still refuses to tap. Nick Patrick continues to attempt to convince Scott to end this, but The Boy refuses.

Tenay: It looks like Hellings' eyes are growing heavy, and Scott is fading quick. Nick Patrick wants to end this match, but the semi-conscious Boy still will not give in. God, I think they can hear Bruce's screams all the way back in the states, and they know that BDB wants Scott to "TAP!".

Brain: And he will do just that!

Tenay: Not on your life, Brain. Scott's eyes are closed, but I don't know if he is out, or if he just trying to conserve what little strength he has left. Nick Patrick going for Scott's hand, and he raises it up. Scott's hand drops...

One...

Tenay: Patrick makes the one count, and the fans are trying to rally behind Hellings. The official goes for the hand once more, and again he lifts it off the ground as far as he can. No, it drops again!! Come on, Scott!!!

Two...

Brain: It's allllllllllllllllllllllllll over, Tenay. Admit it!

Tenay: Until that bell rings, I'm not counting The Boy out. Nick Patrick raises his fingers up, and this crowd is on their feet. They want Hellings up! Nick Patrick raises that hand one more time...and it limply falls to the mat...

Three!

Brain: HE IS STILL THE CHAMPION, MY FRIENDS!

Tenay: This is unbelievable...

Lillian: Your Winner and STILL RWW Undisputed Champion, Big Daddy Bruce!

BDB finally releases The Bigg Finish, and as he hobbles backwards, he stares in amazement down at Hellings, who refused to tap out until the very end.

Tenay: Brain, I...I...I have to give BDB credit. Scott Hellings gave it his all, but in the end, Big Daddy Bruce found a way to keep his title.

Brain: You're damn right you have to give Bruce credit. He just proved to all of your ham-and-eggers that he is the true champion of the world!

Tenay: Yeah, but you have to hand it to Hellings, as well. He drove BDB to the brink, and he was never pinned, nor did he submit. He simply passed out. Technically, Bruce never defeated him.

Brain: Oh, you're so stupid I heard it takes you an hour to make Minute Rice. Big Daddy Bruce is the RWW Undisputed Champion, and Scott Hellings isn't. End of story...

Tenay: Well, BDB might be the champion, but I highly doubt that this is the end of any story, Brain. Folks, for Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, I'm Mike Tenay, and thank you so much for ordering BattleLines! We'll see you Friday...

The camera focuses on Big Daddy Bruce, who still has a ghost-white expression on his face, in disbelief that Hellings never tapped out. He finally stumbles out of the ring and heads up the ramp, taunting the fans while getting garbage thrown at him. The scene fades on another earth shattering RWW PPV!!!
