25TH JUNE 2003: WINTER IS HERE!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoy LOVE winter. I awoke at 0530hr and could not get back to sleep immediately (however I had no intention of getting up that early that I forced myself into slumber) but it was nice to see that it was absolutely pitch black outside, except for the street lights which render darkness incapable of taking over the whole front of my house.
Then when I finally re-awoke at 0801hr it was still relatively dark because the sun does not rise until 0745hr and the fog is thicker than it was yesterday. It is real winter weather and it makes me feel good. I like cold dark mornings. I think they are my favourite time. And they are even nicer when you crawl up under 2 nice warm doonas in front of the heater with your slippers on. So okay, I forgot that I was wearing my slippers when I went to bed last night and they were on all night last night. It was nice. Really. I love my slippers. I love the false warmth of winter as opposed to the oppressive heat of summer. I LOVE WINTER AND IT IS FINALLY HERE!
Going to my parents today so it will be harder to write entries, but I will. Cheers.
