Horoscope:
Most people claim to be astute, yet often find it hard to tell when they are being lied to. Tricksters know how to take advantage of this. They play on our trust, abuse our good nature and allow us to live in ignorance about their true intentions. We are all easily fooled. But sooner or later we wise up, and then we seek revenge. We understand this, yet when we are in a difficult situation, we are still tempted to fib our way out of it. A white lie here, a half-truth there … what harm will it do? Plenty. This week, if you want to solve a problem, be honest, be sincere and brazen things out. (Jonathan Cainer)

22nd JUNE 2003: DREAMS, ED GEIN, RAINBOWS

I’m sitting here waiting for the outcome of the Australian Big Brother 3 double eviction and it reminded me of a dream I had the other night. It was nothing interesting, like many of my dreams lately (hence the reason that I have not up dated my dream journal in a few weeks). Instead it was one of those nice dreams where it makes me believe that romance is quiet possible- for me that is. So what was it that I dreamt? It was a reproduction of the night at the bar when Stripper held my hand, however this time I did not ruin the moment. And this time it was Patrick from BB who was holding my hand. Everything just seemed too right.
On other news Missy likes rainbows. So do I for that matter, it is one of the reasons that I look forward to winter so much. However in this last week I have seen two perfectly formed rainbows, or should I say four, or 6? Or maybe even 8? For as long as I can remember- albeit the rainbows made by the sprinkler during summer- rainbows have only come in the form of a simple arc beginning somewhere in the distance and ending in the clouds. Occasionally there is the double rainbow- that is one that goes red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, all without a break. Last week I saw my first full double rainbow, one that had a definite start on the ground and ended some distance away on the ground. It was the sort that you see in pictures- although it was a double rainbow. And then above it was another. Beautiful. One full double rainbow and one full faded general rainbow. It was fascinating. Despite the rain we crawled into the nearest bus shed and watched them fade away. I love this weather.
And it happened again today, but fortunately we were inside and could watch it through the window. It is so amazing for me to see these properly formed rainbows. I love it and I love everything about winter. I also love the whole woolly fashion thing going on at the moment. I really enjoy the tightly knitted jumpers and turtle-necks, in fact I bought one not long ago in a size 14 that fits me okay now, except because of my large bust size it feel a little on the short side. However it is warm and a multicoloured brown and I really like it.
Okay. I also watched Ed Gein today. I have been meaning to watch it for a while but the temptation was easily gotten over. However when I went to the corner store today I was not in the mood for dilly-dallying so I chose the first one that I had not seen that came to my attention and it happened to be it. I have no idea what to say about it except that it once again instilled in me a love of the 50’s modest fashion with the long poodle skirts and high-necked jumpers. It was just so much nicer than todays bare it all style. Not all of it is bad, but I like the coverage thing and having to discover what is beneath. People being modest.
However the guy was a complete fruit loop. It does give a better understanding of what he did. To me anyway. I used to have a fascination with serial killers because I wanted to be a criminologist. I suspect that forensic science would have been more of my sort of career, if I could handle the chemicals and the maggots and what not. I don’t even like fly spray!!!
Architecture is probably what I should be doing. Materialist, decorative, I could make things, which I enjoy. I am rambling now. Waiting for the first eviction. HURRY UP! Okay, it will be Kim and Vincent, so what is the surprise, I just want to see the percentage results. However, time to watch.
