21ST JUNE 2003: END OF EXAMS

I finished my last essay and exam for the semester yesterday, thank- goodness. Honestly, I don’t think that I should ever, and I mean EVER, participate in another sociology class. Nor philosophy. Perhaps that is the reason I began to hate this semester so much. That and the fact that I really want to study architecture. However I have to wait until July to apply and then January to be rejected. I will never get in. I should just start looking at other courses or jobs that will give some degree of satisfaction. Perhaps I could do office administration, banking, or even real estate? Oh, watching someone else purchase houses that I could not afford would be oh-so-depressing.
At least the classes that I am in next semester are much more bearable. Something along the lines of American Cinema (despite the fact that I am in great opposition to the general USian patriotism and feeling that they rule the world, they do make more films than any other country in the world), Sex Crime and Scandal, and the other I have completely forgotten.
I have every intention of being a B student this semester. If I can get a C by doing the bare minimum, then I could get a B by completing essays perhaps a week in advance and re-reading them. I want to prove to myself and others (namely Melbourne and Geelong Universities) that I CAN work hard. Hell, I have completed one and a half years of a course that I hate, shouldn’t that be enough? Oh well, no use fretting. I will figure something out. Really, I will. Because who really cares?
