Second Day Journey

Today is the second day, I was really exhausted. Cause the day before yesterday I just finished my A.I. examination at university, and I really don't have enough sleep. So I woke up lately on 10:00.

After hurry tidying & dressed up myself, we head on to our first main target - Harajuku (原宿). It is 6 stations from Ikebukuro (池袋), about 16 minutes riding time for JR.

By the time we arrived Harajuku (原宿) it was almost 11:30, we just walked for a while and decided to take the lunch first at a western restaturant.

"Harajuku (原宿) = Latest Fashion Style" is almost an unchageable theory in Japan.

It has created a strong impression on the cross-over of various brands of fashion, which therefore attract those people who want to be at the latest fashion style.

Harajuku (原宿) is really a shopping paradise, there are lots of wonderful shops which sell many kinds of stuff, from clothes, bags, shoes, toys, cosmetics... Moreover the streets are very different from Hong Kong (which is dusty, dirty & crowdy), it is in fact more like paths in an amusement park rather than street.

There are 3 popular shopping streets in Harajuku (原宿), which are the:
  • 明治通
  • 遊步道
  • 原宿通

However I don't have time to walk thorugh the 原宿通, by the time when I reached the end of 明治通, it was already 19:00, and we're so hungry and tired, moreover night in Tokyo is quite windy and make us felt really cold.

But the most important thing is - I've spent too much on clothes today and I wish to leave some budget for shopping for next few day.

We've bought a lot of things, thus we decided to get back hotel first and put down all the bags before seeking place for dinner. We finally have Udon (烏冬) as our supper.

Udon (烏冬) dinner, Ichiban des! Udon (烏冬) dinner, Ichiban des!

Since we can't speak Japanese and the waitor can't listen English, we therefore have to take a photo for whatever we want to eat and show it to them.

This is how my second day was gone. Click HERE  for the third day journey.
