| One of the main reasons anyone wants to play HiT N RuN is to strangle the weak, enforce your gang-based power, and ultimately own the Santa Monica underworld. Any character in the game has the option to kill another character, whether it be a human-controlled one or an NPC (Non-Playable Character). In order to be able to chance a hit on a person, you must first arm yourself with a weapon. Weapons come in all varieties, whether it be some sort of gun, knife, bat, or any other type of melee weapon that can be found and used in the game. Weapons can also be purchased almost anywhere, such as a Gun Store, Illegal Gun Dealer, or just any old sports store. Almost every weapon found in Santa Monica has some sort of unique bonus to it, making it different from others. When a person starts off in HnR, they are began with the following stats at Zero (0). Different starting jobs will start you off with different stats and money, but you are allowed to change jobs later in the game. Most of the stats are used when attacking or defending yourself. Attack (A)- This is the numeral you add to your die roll when attacking. Most weapons give you an added attack bonus when you use them. Defense (D)- This is the numeral that is subtracted from your possible attacker's roll. Stealth (S)- This number is added to your original die roll to determine if you evade the Police. The higher the final number, the less the cops know. In order to keep HnR fair, a character can only chance a hit once a day, and only once a week on a specific person. The way to defend yourself against possible attackers in the future is simple. You must do everything you can to increase your defense. This can be done in many ways. HnR offers the option to hire bodyguards (for a price) and purchase armor to help increase your defense. Also, being an official above Soldier in an organization will give you an added defense bonus. The bonuses are as follow: 1. Don/Leader - +2 Defense 2. Underboss/Captain - +1 Defense 3. Caporegime/Advisor - +1 Defense 4. Soldier - +0 Defense |
