  The Structure of Every PC p6

Out of Intel and AMD, I think that AMD has better CPU's, although Intel have produced some important parts on motherboard (such as the PCI [peripheral connection interface] and ISA [industry standard slot]), AMD has a record for budget and speed, the Duron is a perfect example, at £70 for a 650 its absolutely cheap, against the Celeron the Duron beats it in benchmarks by a high amount.

Evidence;

System;

CPU; Duron 600Mhz (6.0x)

RAM; 64Mb

Motherboard; ABIT KT7

Available RAM at benchmark; 10.987Mb

Here is a benchmark of my PC compared to other CPU's, using Sandra SISsoft. As you can see my processor it shown at the bottom and the results are shown above. The Celeron is slightly behind the Duron, even at the same speed. Socket A means you could fit a Athlon to the same board, unlike the PIII/Celeron.
