Processors are the brain of the
computer, their speeds are given in Mhz (mega hertz), the speed is
multiplied by the setting they are built for, from the manufacturer.
The CPU's have their own
slot/socket, and have to be compatible or they won't work with a MB.
The manufacturers have different
slot/sockets and processors. AMD & Intel are the big names at
the moment. They both have their high power ones and their bargains.
