About the Trainer

Monica Snipes is the trainer for the begininer-intermediate lessons. She is also the owner of the farm.

She was first introduced to horses at the age of 12. Her parents got her a stubborn mare along with an ugly little filly. After half a dozen falls from the mare they decided to sell the mare. She didn't care much about the filly, but grew to love her. She still trains and competes the now 9 year old mare.

Monica first started off with a western background, training her mare around barrels and other speed events. They won many shows until Monica discovered the jumping and dressage world.

She then converted to jumping which Hannah showed great potential. She brought the speed that she had from barrel racing and she showed a perfect jumping form with tight knees and all.

She worked at a local Arabian Dressage stable cleaning out stalls and learning dressage from monthly clinics and worked at another farm in return for her jump lessons.

After she graduated she moved to Germany and worked with a Dutch couple in Germany on a dressage farm. She saw a different view of the sport. She went to many dressage shows in the Netherlands and Germany including the 2006 World Equestrian Games.

She was offered then the opportunity in a working student program back in Florida, so she moved back.
She brought Hannah up to the big warmblood breeding farm. She worked one on one with a dressage trainer, where she recieved very intense lessons in the sport of dressage. She learned new things about breeding, semen collection, artificial insemenation, and foaling. She also recieved lessons over eventing and jumping from the event trainer that worked there.

After a family tragedy she decided to move back home to Bartow and start her farm up again with her new knowledge and confidence.
