This is Atomic Dome in Hiroshima. On August 6, 1945 at 8:15am, the worlds first nuclear attack occured. Little Boy was dropped from Enola Gay and detonated about 2000 feet above this building. Heiwa Koen (peace park) is an amazing and somber memorial to the people who died and a plea to never let this happen again.
Notice the 'ghost effect' of the building reflected in the river.

A couple of young people fishing at Mizumoto.

I took a trip to Osaka in May. This is a view of Fuji-san taken as we flew by. It was beautiful.

Some deer at Miyajima searching the beach for food. Maybe they are drinking the water.

From a flight I took at the end of November.

Snow scene near Nagoya Castle. It is so romantic.

Another photo as we fly by Fuji-san. I thought it was cool the way the mountain pokes through the clouds.

A shadowy Fuji-san in the distace, poking through the clouds.

The famous Itsukushima shrine at Miyajima. It is interesting, the island itself is called Itsukushima. The town is named Miyajima.

I caught a couple having their wedding photos taken. I did ask if it was alright to also take pictures. They kindly said, "Yes".

Miyajima has many many deer, but also lots of monkey. The monkeys live on the mountain near the top.

On the JR Ferry headed from Miyajima to Hiroshima. As the day heads towards night, the sun sinks behind the hills.
