Super Mario Bros. 3

Introduction
Oh Mi Gosh! Nintendo made another excellent game that blew me away!! The graphics and gameplay in Super Mario Bros 3 is so superbly enhanced that it breaks new grounds to bring lots of new gaming experiences to all players!

Story
The story begins when the 7 Kings of the
Mushroom Kingdom are being mysteriously transformed into animals and the Mushroom Princess is also nowhere to be seen!! You are right... Bowser is back!! And now he brings his whole family with him!! Who can we call upon except for Mario and Luigi to save the day again!!
Special Features
The world of Mario is no longer linear in nature but has a more
RPG feel to it. Each of the 8 levels is made into a single thematic world represented by a big map. On the map itself are various stages that Mario has to clear in order to progress. Littered on the maps are also Treasure Rooms and Bonus Stages to help Mario gain important artifacts that help him progress through the game. After clearing all essential stages, a Flying Fortress will be revealed and Mario has to defeat one member of the Koopa Family residing in it in order to advance to the next map.

Apart from the traditional
flame-blowing technique to knock out enemies, now Mario could also don a variety of adorable disguising suits to gain unique abilities to help him in his quest. The cute Fox Suit is indispensable and is highly valued throughout the game. With the suit, not only can Mario knock down enemies and bricks, he can also fly through the air to reach new heights by continuously flagging its tail. Other disguises include the Eskimo Suit that enables Mario to throw ice-picks and to avoid slipping on ice, the Frog Suit to help him swim swiftly through the water, a Jumping Boot Suit that helps him travel over deadly spikes on the ground, and even a strange Tanuki Suit that enables him to transform into a statue!

The 8 levels of Super Mario Bros 3 are now made into worlds with obvious themes of their own. They are namely
Grass Land, Desert Land, Water Land, Giant Land, Sky Land, Ice Land, Pipe Land and lastly World 8, making the whole game such an exciting place to explore. Apart from collecting a hundred coins to gain 1-Ups, there are also different symbols available to Mario at the end of each stage. Upon collecting 3 of them, it enables Mario to earn a number of 1-ups in accordance to the similarity of the symbols. Also, the 2-Player mode has been retained. Mario could play with Luigi on the map in a friendly competition to see who could clear the stages first and earn the right to explore Treasure Rooms and Bonus Stages.

Indeed, the Mario title has expanded
far beyond its original gameplay. The game is so good, so beautifully designed that I sometimes wondered whether it does indeed belong to the old NES. Put it simply, its A GAME PAR EXCELLENCE!
