Akaya is Rikkaidai's junior ace, and most infamous for being a 'devil'. When it comes to crushing his opponents, Akaya is ruthless and despicable. He enjoys deliberately hurting his opponents, even up to a point where they get hospitalized. One example was Tachibana, whom he continuously hit the ball at the foot/ankle, he couldn't stand up and had to be hospitalized. However, he usually does that only when he gets serious, which requires some skill for it to happen. He can also be over-confident and arrogant, and loves to laugh at the misfortune of others.

Name: Yanagi Renji

Basic information:
Renji is Inui's childhood friend, who used to play doubles together for a long time when they were still in elementary school. They were a well-known pair, but unfortunately Renji just left Inui one day, and never saw him again until 4 years 2 months 15 days later, on the day Rikkaidai plays against Seigaku. Because Renji has always been playing doubles with Inui, they have never really played against each other seriously in a real set match. Thus now, they are determined to settle the match they left halfway through in the past.

Basic information:
Marui is the one who Jirou originally copied his Rising Shot from. Though good in skills, Marui lacks stamina and tires easily. As a solution to this problem, Marui often eats his special homemade cakes, full of glucose, before a match. Just in case it's not enough, he also chews on chewing gum while in a match. Marui plays doubles with Jackal, and according to Inui, they tend to lose their first round (92%) if the opponent gets to serve but after that, the probability of them winning the match is 100%.

Jackal is from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, where he first learnt tennis taught by a Brazilian coach. He respected him so much, Jackal shaved his hair to look like him. At present, Jackal is a regular in Rikkaidai and plays doubles with Marui. He is known as a defense specialist, whose defense is as strong as a wall. He also moves pretty fast and is capable of returning easily even Kaidou's Boomerang Snakes.

Basic information:
Niou has a good eye for people, or so he says it himself. He is the one who recruited Yagyuu into Rikkaidai's tennis team as he sees the potential Yagyuu hides within. He also plays doubles with him, and together, they make the reputation of being undefeated in ranking tournaments. Niou also has the unique ability to be able to catch people's habits in a short moment, which helps him predict where the opponent may/will return the ball to.

School year: Three

Yagyuu originally does golf and wasn't even a part of the tennis club until Niou asked him to join. He hesitated at first but ended up joining the team anyways, and is now playing as doubles with Niou. For how long he has played tennis, it isn't clearly explained, but from the way things seem he is seemingly strong and even surpassed Niou's levels. After His special move "Golf Swing", is probably a tribute to his favorite past time.

Name: Yukimura
School year: Three

Yukimura is unfortunately 'cursed' with a serious illness that is perhaps by far more serious than Tezuka's (rather than injury). Because of this illness, Yukimura cannot even play tennis anymore, and has to undergo a surgery that has only a slim chance of success. Genichirou, who now takes his position as captain, often visits him in the hospital with the rest of the team mates, but Yukimura only tells how he truly feels about his own situation to Genichirou. To console him, Genichirou promises Yukimura that he will bring him the championship after the match against Seigaku, and have everyone be there in the hospital to see him to the ER in time. From the words of people, Yukimura is supposed to be a highly skilled national level tennis player, only if he has not have to suffer from his illness.
