Name: Atobe Keigo
School year: Three
Position: Captain, regular
Special moves: Rondo to Destruction
Plays against:
Tezuka, Ryouma
Basic information:
Atobe is perhaps the richest, vainest and also the biggest narcissist in the story. He acts like a boss to practically everyone, but the coach, and enjoys having Kabaji agree with what he thinks. He is highly confident of himself but that is also because he really does have the skills. In fact, while we have never seen anyone in Seigaku defeat Tezuka, Atobe is by far the only one in the story who defeated him, and even in an official match during the prefecturals. So as you can guess, the match between Atobe and Tezuka was perhaps the longest lasting, taking about 3 episodes. After learning that Ryouma is the one Tezuka has so much high hopes for, Atobe begins to be curious about the boy and wants to see how much potential he really hides.

Name: Munehiro Kabaji
School year: Two
Position: Regular
Special moves: Copy
Plays against:
Kawamura
Basic information:
Kabaji is huge, and possesses as much power as Kawamura. Despite his size, he is really only second year in middle school, and is a quiet and obedient boy, who listens and agrees to Atobe's every word like as if he is the boss. Because of his silent nature, he also does not get provoked no matter how one tries to, which helps him stay cool. Though he is always by Atobe's side, he does not see anyone as a rival and does not aggressively challenge people unless Atobe tells him to.

Name: Ootari Choutarou
School year: Two
Position: Regular
Special moves: Skud Serve
Plays against:
Inui & Kaidou
Basic information:
Choutarou is a sweet, friendly and polite second year middle schooler. He is also pretty tall for his age, especially when compared to his doubles partner - Shishido. Choutarou and Shishido often train together and seem to be rather close. Choutarou believes in Shishido's skills and is willing to help him out with his training, like when he was once desperate. He even went as far as declaring that he will quit the team as well if Sakaki, the coach, does not give Shishido a chance to retain his place as a regular to prove himself.
His Scud Serve is so fast, very few are able to return it.

Name: Shishido Ryou
School year: Three
Position: Regular
Special moves: Super Rising, Dash
Plays against:
Inui & Kaidou, Tachibana
Basic information:
Shishido is perhaps the only regular in Hyoutei who has lost a match, yet still able to retain his regular position. In his match against Tachibana, he underestimated him and ended up losing, which resulted in him dropping out of the regulars. Desperate to prove that he can do it, he trained hard with the help of Choutarou and pleaded Sakaki, the coach, to allow him back into the regulars for him to prove his skills just once more. Shishido is not born with the ideal height of a tennis player, but to make up for it he trains to build up his speed, so that he is able to return shots that are supposedly too fast to catch up to.

Name: Mukahi Gakuto
School year: Three
Position: Regular
Special moves: Moon Salute, Acrobatics
Plays against:
Momoshirou & Kikumaru
Basic information:
Gakuto pairs with Yuushi in a doubles match. His body is not as small as Ryouma's but is very light, thus capable of jumping very high, which helps him in his acrobatic plays. According to Inui, his acrobatic skills are notches above Kikumaru's.

Name: Oshitari Yuushi
School year: Three
Position: Regular
Special moves: Higuma Otoshi
Plays against:
Momoshirou & Kikumaru
Basic information:
Yuushi plays doubles with Gakuto against Momoshirou and Kikumaru in the prefecturals. Surprisingly, he is able to perform "Higuma Otoshi", which is one of Fuji's triple counters. He also the only character who speaks in the Kansai dialect.

Name: Akutagawa Jirou
School year: Three
Position: Regular
Special moves: Magic volley, Rising Shot
Plays against:
Fuji, Kaidou
Basic information:
Jirou is one serious sleepyhead and the happy-go-luckiest lad in the story. He is totally worry-less, and is someone who does not know the meaning of 'thinking negatively'. Whatever happens he will always see it on the positive side and instead of being shocked or depressed, all he does is start laughing, admiring and getting even more excited than ever before. His sleepiness is a part of him which he can never change. Usually disinterested in the others' matches, he uses the time to sleep instead. In the eyes of people some people, he is known as 'the one who defeated Yuuta in 15 minutes'. (Poor Yuuta!) Jirou 'copied' his Rising Shot from Marui, a regular in Rikkaidai, and is a big fan of his.

Name: Wakashi Hiyoshi
School year: Two
Position: Regular (Reserve)
Special moves: Enbutenshu
Plays against:
Ryouma
Basic information:
According to Inui, Hiyoshi is all of these: an aggresive baseliner, calm and collected, will sway easily and is slightly sensitive. From the words of other characters, he is the future star of Hyoutei who will one day replace Atobe's place as captain. He was originally a reserve player in the prefecturals but due to a 2 wins 2 losses and 1 draw match, Hiyoshi comes in in the 4th singles match that will decide which the winning school will be. However, despite all the compliments people gave him, his match against Ryouma was quite a huge letdown, and he has never made a second appearance since then.

Name: Sakaki
Position: Coach
Basic information:
Sakaki is straightforwardly a strict coach who gave Hyoutei the policy of dropping regulars off once they lose an official match. However, there was just one exception with Shishido, whom he allowed to retain his place as a regular even after losing an official match once. Even so, he agreed only after Choutarou and even Atobe pleaded for him to give Shishido a chance.
