Emma's 1st Days!!!
At 12:38pm on June 20th, 2005 Miss Emma Elizabeth Engler joined the world. This is her trip from the hospital to her first days at home. At about 5am on June 20th, Emma's mommy Chrisitna Engler had her water break and Daddy drove mommy to the hospital for what was soon to be a historic day. After some small contractions and a walk around the hospital, mommy started to feel some pain and some strong contractions. Miss Emma wanted out and she was furious that it wasen't happening right now. Well after a failed attempt for the epideral medicine, mommy was going to be a strong and tough mommy for you cause she was going to give birth the old fashioned way, without drugs. She did receive some medicine that eased the pain for awhile but not for long. Daddy was hungry and went to the cafeteria to get some lunch and came back up about 10:30am. The visitors were arriving as your Grammy and Papa Torres were anxiously awaiting your arrival. As were your little cousins Lindsay and Macie. Your grammy and papa went to get Lindsay and Macie something to eat and then all sudden you really wanted to see your mommy and daddy. You were kicking and mommy was getting ready to introduce you to the world. You should've have seen your daddy he was working with mommy through her pushing stages. He was breathing with her and the nurses kept telling me to breath too. I was so excitied as I was going to get to see you first.
As mommy was pushing the doctor finally came in with his white mask, you
probably were quite scared of this man helping to introduce you to the
world. After some good hard pushes, I could see your head, and the beautiful
dark hair, you were almost here and I could tell you wanted to be here.
You were trying and trying as was your mommy. Daddy was starting to shake
and was so nervous. He wanted you to be a healthy baby and was worried
as most new daddy's are. After a few more pushes you were almost here and
then in a instant you were out and the doctors cleared you up and you let
out the biggest welp of relief I have ever heard. You were finally here
to us. As the nurses cleaned you up you were crying with joy.
You
were finally here, Emma Elizabeth Engler, As the nurse weighed you in,
6 lbs 7oz 20 inches in length. 13 1/2 inches head length. You were
a beutiful baby and daddy was so happy, it was the happiest day of my life.
I was so happy you were healthy and you scored a 18 on your tests. What
a great day. After you were cleaned your mommy got to hold you first and
she was so excited and captivated by the sight of her beautiful baby girl.
Then daddy got to hold and let me tell I never wanted to put you down.
You were magnificant. To this day I get tears of happiness in my eyes when
I recall your birth.
