Chapter 22 --- The Night of No Regrets

"Forget it, Kat. You have no choice; you are taking to long to think. You have to marry me. If not, your parents will owe lots of debts,� he said as if she had to sleep with him right now and there.

With a questioning face, she asked, �You would blackmail me in order to get me in bed? What kind of a man are you?? You Beast!� Kat was trying to get him off her, but he was still too heavy.

"I told you, if I want something I will get it. I don�t care what it takes, but I have to get it. You should be happy. Not only will you get to sleep with me, but you will have the name of my wife and get to take care of all my money.� He said it as though she would be pleased.

"I don�t give a damn about you or your money. I am not going to marry you or sleep with you. I will figure out how to help my parents my own way. So back off and leave me alone, you evil person,� she said angrily, wanting to slap him out of his drunkenness. She tired to push him off her once again, and he finally let her loose.

As she tried to get up, he looked down at her. �Evil� huh? What if I told you, you have less than 1 hour to help your parents or else your house will be taken away and both your parents will be jobless. Is that evil enough?� he said with a sneer on his face. He was proud of himself because he was winning the challenge he�d given himself in China.

"I can�t believe you. How and why are you doing this to me?� She said it angrily as she finally got up off the ground. She wanted to beat the hell out of him so bad, but she couldn�t think straight and didn�t have enough physical energy to do that because of Hugo and the drink he gave her, which was still making her weak and drowsy.

"Just sleep with me and marry me, Kat. You�ll save your family and yourself from having to work hard the rest of your life,� he said softly.

Tears were falling down both of her eyes. She didn�t know what to do. He had her at her weak spot. She loved her family the most, and she couldn�t bear to see her family go homeless and jobless.

But she managed to say something, her side of the proposal. �Look, Tik. I just want to tell you how much I HATE you, and in spite of you and your disgusting attitude and nasty mind, I will have it on my terms. I will not marry you, but I will sleep with you one night, and we will not have anything to do with each other ever again. I want the old proposal. I don�t want to have to see your face again, with the second proposal!� she said with a soft and shaking voice as tears were rolling down her both her cheeks.

He was smiling with satisfaction.

As more tears fell down, she continued to say with her shaky voice, �Are you happy you won? At last you�ve made me into a high class prostitute,� she said with disgust.

She couldn�t believe anyone would blackmail someone to sleep with them. She never hated anyone as much as him. She could and would never forgive him for the rest of her life, because he blackmailed her and put her pride down.

"Yes, of course I am happy, but I would be happier if you were my wife and you wouldn�t have to feel that way,� he said like a hero, giving her a way out.

"No, I don�t want anything to do with you anymore once you get what you want and I get what I need. I don�t want anything, no strings between us, no nothing,� she said insistently.

"Are you sure you want that? Are you sure you won�t regret it?� he said sharply.

"Yes, of course I want that. Yes, I may lose my body to someone as cold-hearted as you, but I will not lose my heart to someone like you,� she said strongly.

He went in front of her, and grabbed both side of her arms. �You don�t want to marry me so you can marry someone else, huh?! Well, no one will want to marry you once you have been through me.� He carried her into the bedroom and said angrily, �No one will take you away from me. You will be mine and only mine. Tonight, tomorrow night, every night, so don�t worry about anyone else getting you.� He knew what he was doing and saying but the alcohol pushed him to do it even more.

She was trying to push him off her, but he was too heavy for her to push. �Stop, stop, what are you doing? Stop�.I don�t want to be with you. I don�t want it this way�STOP�..ST��

He kissed her and did not let her finish�.after she stopped fighting back, he let go...

"Look at me. You cannot get away from me, or even run away from me. If you think you can go to other guys after being passed by me, let�s see what they will say. Tonight, you are my wife, and you will not be anyone else�s but mine!� He said as if she was already his property.

As tears began falling again, she said softly, �I hate you, and I will always hate you for taking what I love most about myself, which is my pride.� She couldn�t stop him because she was too weak from before. She couldn�t fight back because she is doing it for her family.

He was kissing her everywhere, her neck, her lips, her arms�.slowly he unbuttoned the top of her dress and slowly undressed her out of her light blue dress. He then went down and kissed her stomach and going back to her neck, holding both her arms above her head. As he was kissing her softly, he looked at her and gave her a light kiss on the lips. He then slowly unbuttoned her bra with one hand while placing the blanket over both of them with the other. And as he was making her his wife, her tears overflowed and drowned the room in a deep sea of salt water.

She couldn�t bear to do or say anything, except lie in bed and cry to herself over losing her purity and pride for the sake of money. She didn�t want to go through with it, but if she didn�t, her parents, the ones she loved most in her life, will lose everything.

Kat�s mind was filled with a whirlwind of emotions and questions of how she could possibly end up in this situation. Her tears pounded the crisp white sheets on the bed. In the end, it was her pride she was crying for the most because she lost it for her family and their future.

In Tik�s mind, all he could think about was winning over her and her pride, getting her for himself so that nobody else would take her away from him. He did not want to lose Kat like he lost Benz. Whatever nasty tricks he had to use to win her over, he would do it. And tonight it was not Ken or Hugo but Tik�s whose body Kat laid next to.

The next morning when Kat slowly opened her eyes, she felt a body behind her hugging her tightly and not letting her go. She tried to move, but he woke up. �I�m sorry� was the first thing that came out of Tik�s mouth and then that mouth kissed her cheek.

"Get away from me!� Kat uttered in a cold voice early in the morning.

"Wow, it seems like last night wasn�t enough to make you hot. I guess I�ll have to continue doing it again,� he said jokingly, not taking her seriously.

"Shut up, and let me go, now! You cold-hearted bastard!� Kat retorted with bitterness.

"Kat, I�m sorry. I didn�t mean to do anything to you last night�The alcohol just got in to me. I didn�t know you were still pure. I thought you had experience before,� Tik tried to explain.

"Khun Tik, that is no excuse. I told you last night, I want nothing to do with you anymore. And I don�t care if you were my first. Now I can do whatever I want with anybody I want!� Kat got up and pulled the blanket to cover her naked body and rushed to the bathroom.

By the time she got out of the bathroom and dressed up, Tik was already dressed and had some paper work.

"Here Kat, sign this. These are some loans your parents took from my company to pay off their debts. Your parents wanted to try to play stock, and I admit they were doing a great job. I was surprised that their stock crashed and made them go broke, completely,� Tik explained her family�s situation.

She read the contract and saw he was telling the truth about them owing an enormous proportion. �What?? $ 10,000,000? Have they gone crazy? We are not that rich, how the hell did they ever have this kind of money?? I don�t even have $100,000!�

Kat was in shock over how much her parents owed the bank and Tik had to pay for them from his company.

"Kat, if you sign here, my money will pay for that loan. Here, just sign here, here, and here.� Tik was pointing to all the places she had to sign.

She read some pages and couldn�t read anymore. The more she read, the more she felt like crying and blaming herself for not knowing the things her family was going through. She couldn�t believe the amount her parents owed the banks. So she signed the places Tik told her to sign in the contract without reading the entire thing.

"Am I done? I think I signed all of them. If I am done, I think you should head out now. I hope I will never see you again,� Kat said to him directly.

Tik was smiling at Kat and hugged her. �Kat, I thought you would learn from your lesson by now. The first time I met you, you did not read the contract and you signed it, and you were stuck with me. Your second contract, you didn�t care to do research about my company and you signed it again, and you were stuck with me again. And now, this is the third contract that I am giving you. You didn�t finish reading it and now you are stuck as my wife!� he said happily.

"What are you talking about? I did skim through most of it,� Kat was confused.

"I don�t think so, Kat. You just signed to be my wife under law. I guess there will be a marriage after all,� he tried to explain to her.

"What? Let me see that again?� She tried to snatch the paper away from him, but he pulled it away.

"Now what makes you think I will give this back to you. You will tear it up. No Way!� Tik said to her and put the contact into his suitcase and continued. �Oh yeah, your parents will be here next week for our wedding. Oh, and don�t forget to call your best friend Marie to join our wedding. The rest of your friends from America will come to Thailand with your parents.�

"What?? What are you talking about? I am lost. And once again I am not, I repeat, I am not going to marry you!� Kat was rebelling.

"Too bad, Kat. It is your fault for signing the contract without reading everything. I didn�t think I could trick you again. But I guess it did. I knew if you were shocked about your parent�s amount of debt, you wouldn�t want to read any further. So I kind of increased the amount than it originally was,� Tik said coyly.

"What, again Khun Tik, you tricked me again! How could you? Damn you, I hate you.� Kat was hitting his chest as hard as she could with the amount of energy she had left from last night.

"No, Kat, I don�t think you hate me. I think you need to change the word �Hate� to the word �Love�. I have you as my wife now, so you are no longer any other woman for me. You will be known as Kathaleeya SaPone as of today,� Tik said smiling.

"I am Not!!! And will not be!!! And how did you call my parents and how do you know Marie?� Kat questioned him, rejecting the thought of being his wife.

"That is something for me to know and for you to find out. And there will be a wedding next week. Don�t think of running away because you can�t. You are stuck with me as of today. I don�t think you want your parents to lose face on the wedding day, do you, Honey?� Tik said as if they were already lovers. Once he finished with what he had to say, he kissed her cheeks.

"Stop that, Khun Tik. We can�t marry each other. I don�t love you and you surly don�t love me. I still don�t know and understand why you are doing this to me. Aren�t you happy I lost myself to you? What else do you want from me?� Kat was pushing and punching him away from her and started to cry.

"Kat, listen to me, I do--" Tik got cut off because his cell phone rang.

"Dammit, Ken, always calling at the wrong time,� He swore out loud while looking at the caller I D, then picked up the phone. �Hello? What do you want, Ken?... What? Are you kidding me? Ok�Ok� I will be there as soon as possible.� Tik�s face looked serious, and he was in a rush.

Kat was still trying to absorb everything that had happened to her and the position she was in. She looked at Tik�s face. It looked like the phone call from Ken was important, and she didn�t want to start anymore problems, so she didn�t say anything else beside �That phone call seemed important. I think you better go take care of that business.�

"I will go, and I will come back tonight to talk to you about our wedding,� Tik was walking out the door, but before he was out, he turned around and walked up to Kat.

"Don�t try to run, Kat. I will catch you. Don�t try to hide, I will find you. Don�t lie to yourself, because you will regret it in the future. And don�t be so bitter, I am your husband now,� he said with a smile and kissed her cheeks and continued to walk out the door.

Kat was watching Tik walk out of the door. She couldn�t believe she�d gotten fooled more than once and no matter what she did, she was stuck with him. She didn�t want to marry him if he didn�t love her. She wanted to run away, even though he told her not to. She didn�t want to regret marrying the person she did not love, and the person who did not love her.
