Welcome to my site. I am making this for Mr. Espinola's web design class. This page will be about one of my favorite bands called The Used.
They formed in 2001 and are from Orem, Utah. The band members are: Bert McCracken- vocals, Jeph Howard- bass, Quinn Allman- guitar/vocals, and Branden Steineckert- drums/vocals.
They had to overcome homelessness, poverty, substance abuse and the "strait-laced" attitudes of their home town to make their band, but music proved to be the way out.They eventually earned a contract with with Reprise Records and released their self-titled debut album in June of 2002, which sold over 200,000 copies and singles includes "A Box Full of Sharp Objects," "The Taste of Ink," "Buried Myself Alive," and "Blue and Yellow."
The Used toured in the 2002 Ozzfest, the 2002 Vans Warped Tour, the 2003 Vans Warped Tour, Linkin Park�s Projekt Revolution Tour and most recently, the Taste of Chaos tour. They�ve announced a fall 2005 tour (with Glassjaw) throughout August and September.
In March 2005, The Used sold all 5,500 tickets for their only Australian headline concert in just one hour. On the eve of this Sydney concert, the band has made the announcement that fans across the country have so desperately awaited. The international touring sensation, Taste of Chaos headed to Australia in October 2005.
They won Best International Band at the Metal Hammer awards in June 2005.
