Rod's ( blushing ) Recipe
Bakewell Tarts
Don't quite understand why he was blushing when the "tarts" were mentioned and unfortunately he did not give me the recipe or the directions...
However, I assume it is just another trip down to Tesco and get a packet of Mr.Kipling Bakewell Tarts ( doing a lot of advertising on this site, wonder if I could get some money from them? ).
Dont know the origin of the bakewell tart and even if there was any tarts in Bakewell???
Any information you could give me on the above would be gratefully recieved.
Dave's Fav Recipe
Beans on Toast
I dont know, you lot are so adventurous!!!
However, as simple as this may seem, I am afraid it is not and I will explain why...
Beans on toast, now does he mean baked, green, haricoe, kidney I mean he may have a strange sense of taste.
Once you have decided on which type of bean, you must then decide on frozen, tinned or fresh...after that whose make are you going to use, Tesco, Heinz, HP, Birds Eye, well the list is endless.
So you have decided on the bean and the make, what about the bread???
Have you been to the bakery counter in Tesco lately, they got about 5000 different types of bread, needless to say I wont even attempt to list them.
Oh and finally, do you spread butter or marg onto the toast...decisions, decisions!!!
Lin's Favourite Recipe
A little of what you fancy does you good.
When I asked for recipes I just assumed that it would be "food" recipes, however, Lin's favourite is of the liquid variety and no, its not chicken soup either... it is called

'Delilah'

Pour 1 1/2 ounces gin and a 1/2 ounce of Cointreau into a shaker full of ice. Add the juice of half a lemon.
Shake hard and serve up, adding a twist  of lemon as a garnish.

Well, if Lin says it's ok, it must be!!!
