6oz self raising flour
3oz butter
6oz apples, cored and diced
3oz sugar (unrefined is best)
milk
My method....
grease a baking sheet
soften the butter a little in the microwave
put all the ingredients in to a large bowl
get a wooden spoon or your hands and mix it all together
add a little milk to make a firm sticky dough
splat the mixture on to the baking sheet, press out to a round about 7 inches across
bake for 20 mins at gas 5 or 190 C, then a further 20 mins at gas 3 or 160 C
serve hot or cold, lovely with custard
