| Jesus at the Block Cinema - Yeah.....so much for this. I haven't even bothered to see "The Passion." ~Previously~ About a month ago some of my fellow Hobartians and I were at the Block Cinema, prepared to watch a showing of Hitchock's "Spellbound", when in walks.....Jesus! Well, really, He looked something like this ---------------------> So then Marissa says very loudly: "Look! It's Jesus!" We were all in awe to be in the presence of Jesus throughout the whole film. Jesus has also been sighted on the Northwestern campus riding a scooter. *Update!** 3/11/03 - Jesus was once again reported to be seen at the Block Cinema last Friday night....I sense a pattern. He was reported to have His arms spread out in a pattern of openness and accepting while talking with some friends. Maybe this coming Friday I should go to the Block Cinema to see Psycho just to see if Jesus makes another appearence. Maybe I will even get my picture taken with Jesus. *Update**3/15/03 - It's official. Jesus either goes to the Block Cinema every Friday night to bless the people there with His holy presence, or He likes Hitchcock films. It was also noted that Jesus was wearing glasses. Jesus was also seen on the El by Karen, and was said to be wearing purple robes (for Lent) and carrying a cross. He got off on the Belmont stop. On her encounter with Jesus, all Karen could say was - "I was amazed - it looked just like Him!" After much discussion, it was decided that this Jesus was a "professional Jesus". In other news, I am now on a quest to get my picture taken with Jesus. |

| April Fools? On April Fools day, someone in Hobart took the initiative to help their fellow dorm mates "Get help" by distributing phamplets to various residents. Some included "So you've got mono", "Being gay/lesbian", "Getting what you want from abstinance", and of course mine was titled "Rave and party drugs" (along with a post-it note that said "Jenny - Get help!") The culprit(s) have not been caught yet. That was not the only prank of the day - shaving cream, syrup, and oatmeal and honey on doorknobs, syrup in the shower, and an emptied closet were also discovered. |
