| A little history: Patches was taken into the family in the year of 1988, during the month of August. She died at the age of 14 in September 2002, and has achieved enough (post-humous) fame to warrent her own website. Christianed Patches Nine-Lives, she is often called "Precious", "Baby", "Sweet-heart", "Ms. Purr-purr", or on occasion, "Stupid-face" or "Precious little moron".. Her favorite hobbies included sleeping, eating, mooching food (she even liked potato chips and muffins!), clawing up the couches, and leaving everything covered with a layer of fur. She also likes to look out windows, especially when they are open, and sleep on the laundry (only when it's clean). Occasionally, she will deign to let one of us brush her with her special brush. | Patches Nine-Lives Brandmaier |
| Patches developed cancer on her jaw this summer, and sadly, had to be put to sleep on Wednesday September 18 2002, at 6:35pm. She is now buried along the fence in our backyard, and we are in the process of looking for a statue to honor her grave and memory. I also have quite a few more pictures of her to add, but I need to scan them first. She was well-loved and will be missed. |
