This site is dedicated to John Carey as a
tribute to his extraordinary talents
and to provide a showcase of his current accomplishments as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
In late spring of 2006, John left the starring role in "Magic of the Dance," in which his magnificent dancing and brilliant choreography enthralled audiences in Europe, North America, and the Far East.
John is now the director and principal teacher of the Carey Academy of Irish dancing in Birmingham, UK. The school was once part of the Doherty Academy of Irish Dancing in Coventry, UK, where John was trained and which is still directed by Danny Doherty who is semi-retired and teaches fewer classes. John's students have been competing and winning many medals in major Irish dancing championships in the UK & USA.
John continues to perform with the "Celtic Masters" Irish dance and music troupe.
