My partner, Jim Gainey, and I are the masterminds behind this masterpiece car. The mousetrap car started with a simple frame of two pieces of wood with support brackets. We decided to use bearings for our axles - less friction! I cut out the records for the back wheels in order to reduce weight. A secret ingredient was used on the bearings! (You can find out what this lubricant is by e-mailing me!) Once we decide the car was finished, it was time for our final runs. The amazing ability of our car was demonstrated by generating a NEW SCHOOL RECORD!!!! The length was a total of 143 feet, the longest distance in the history of Grandville High School!!!!
