| Introduction to the HTML Help Guide This guide really isn't intended for someone with absolutely no idea of how to make a web page using HTML. It is to serve as a resource for people who know what they are looking for. But I have prepared a rough outline on how to get started, anyway. First of all, you need webspace. My very first web page, (very embarrassing...hehe) made in 1999, was created with the website host, Webspawner. Very simple. Half of the time Webspawner was down or had other problems. So I definitely dont recommend it as a permanent establishment for your site. But it is a very simple WYSIWYG interface using templates. Great to play around with. Here are some hosts: geocities.com tripod.com freewebspace.com freecfm.com gURLPAGES.com angelfire.com webspawner.com Next, you do probably want graphics, but you dont need many. And the ones you do have, make them small. Better yet, make your own if you feel you can. Every graphic youll ever find on this site will be and is created by me on the very simple graphics application, MS Paint. Can't get any simpler than that. The graphics you will create on that will load fast, look simple not distracting, and will be exactly what you personally want. And if you want pre-made graphics or a logo generator, go to the following: Flamingtext Cooltext Cool Archive You can make great logo's using these sites. My favorite one has to be flamingtext.target="blank" |
