Pop Muzio came to the United
States in 1909 from Sicily, bought the first part of the farm located in North
Haven in 1911 and started farming and raising his family.
When he built the first Muzio farm market in 1935,
it was the beginning of an evolving business that would eventually encompass
three generations of Muzio’s.
In 1960, his son, Frank Sr., started his own business with the same farm and then Frank Jr. began using it as of 1992. Frankie currently is maintaining seven acres of the farm pictured on this page and elsewhere on the web site.
And now it appears that fruit and vegetables aren’t the only things growing on the farm! These are Polish chickens so now Frankie can sell fresh eggs.
