He married Myrtle Ruth Whitaker. Myrtle was born in Mills River, Henderson County, North Carolina 17 January 1891. Myrtle died 12 January 1951 in Mills River, Henderson County, North Carolina, at 59 years of age. Myrtle died 12 January 1951 in Mills River, Henderson County, North Carolina, at 59 years of age.

Ulysses Herman "Dock" GORDON and Myrtle Ruth Whitaker had the following children:
