August 23 1999

Today's entry is very short.

The world is a little emptier now. On Sunday, August 22, at 7:30pm CST, my paternal grandmother, Grandma Bradford, passed away in her sleep. She was 86.

Grandma Bradford lived a very long and very full life, but had been ailing for the last few years. Her mind was still incredibly sharp, but her body didn't want to cooperate with her wishes. Until she decided that she was tired of the pain and just wanted to "go home" to God.

She went home yesterday. She's the only grandmother I've ever really known. I'll miss her terribly.

Goodbye, Grandma.
