With the highlands of Syrtis Major to the southwest and Tyrrhena to the south effectively blocking cold winter winds from the southern hemisphere, Isidis is definitely the area of Mars with the most pleasant climate, subtropical and at some places almost tropical. The many Chinese names here of course go back to the time when West-Isidis was part of the Chinese Territories. Woo Hing is the closest thing to surfer's paradise, the low gravity working with favourable winds and a big stretch of open sea to create waves you won't find anywhere else. The Garden is a fertile and, for Martian standards, quite cultivated area, with many orchards, vinyards, farms and villages.
