Name : Void
Species : Reploid
Age : <1
Class : Assassin
Type : Sniper
Concept : Fighter , Gambler , Malefactor
Rank : Professional
Advantages :
Acute Sense (Hearing) -
Ambidexterity -
Daredevil -
Flight - In APF fusion mode, he gains the ability of flight through
vernier boosters on his back, wings and legs, as well as the omnium wings fused
from Wyse.
Weapons Knowledge - A matrix concept, so to speak. When given a
weapon, Void freeze-frames a picture in his mind and sends it back to his
creator for analysis and the correct upload to wield the weapon with above
average skill.
Lightning Reflexes -
Street Smarts -
Disadvantages :
Compulsion - He has a compulsion to kill. Unknown to Void's creator, a hidden third party secretly installed a Trojan horse in with one of his vital programs. This impulse makes Void feel the need to kill. Cold blooded or not, he has to do it. He can go for a week at the very most without slaying someone in cold blood.
Hatred - Overlord Crag, for being the one that had screwed with Void's mind like a little plaything and rendering him as the lord's personal
assassin. Magnas, the perfect mix of both Zerker and Aegis, who hunts endlessly
for him to bring back to Crag. Remington, the Zodiac Reploid, as he
remembers him to be the ender of his first life.
Hunted - Overlord Crag of the Duncadia Empire has recently listed a
bounty on Void's head for millions of credits, labeling him an enemy of
Duncadia and some surrounding nations. His lackey, Doctor Rancor, has wanted to
get his hands on Void so that he can open him up and find out why the mass
production of the V-Series reploids have performed at substandard
levels. Also, several world governments have put up a bounty on his head for
assassination attempts of their respective leaders.
Obstinate - Once Void makes up his mind about something, it is black or white. No gray.
Overconfident - If all is going well for him, Void will get cocky. No doubt about it. Yet, even if things are going bad, he always ignores the
situation and still gathers himself to be the best there is.
Poor Sense (Smell) - An irremovable error in the senses program has
made it very hard for Void to smell anything at all.
Weapons :
*V420 Rifle ("Vajra") - With some of the specs of the now destroyed Ragnarok rifle, Druinen and his associates were able to create one of the most technologically advanced projectile weapon to date. Named after the weapon of the lightning god Indra (from Buddhist beliefs), the Vajra has the best stopping/piercing power ever conceived for a sniper rifle. The bullet, a small, slim, pointed cylinder, can pierce any known material, energy shield and/or armor. The only exception is the rare metal Omnium, which has proven to be dented with repeated shots from the Vajra. The only visible downfall is that the Vajra does not have a clip for ammo. Each bullet must be manually fed into
the barrel, much like an old hunting rifle.
V283 Shock Rifle - With its design borrowed from an ancient tournament holdings in the 20XX era, the V283 Shock Rifle is a compact energy rifle with punishing power. It can fire a single stream of purple laser fire for precision aiming, or it can fire a medium sized globe of highly saturated plasma. If however, a stream shot were to hit the globe, the globe would explode outwards, dealing heavy damage in an area effect. This weapon does not have a scope.
Dual .50 Modified Desert Eagles - Taking the old Desert Eagle design, Druinen & Co. designed an effective modification to an already deadly weapon. Not only is there a laser sight grafted to the bottom of the barrel, but special ammo has been made that is more effective against biological species (humans, animals) and mechanical beings (reploid, cyborg, robot).
H.F. (Hyper Flash) Grenades - An ingenious device, created by Dr. Dalton, one of Druinen's cohorts. The H.F. Grenade is a general mix between a flashbang grenade, able to render visuals to a fine white light, and an EMP grenade, able to temporarily render electronic devices completely useless. Wyse carries some of the grenades within its body, while Void has two strapped to his ankles.
Accessories :
Animal Ally - Wyse the Great Owl
After Void's defeat at the hands of Remington, Sage was not far away.
After Void was abandoned by Kirisu in the streets of Serbia, Sage placed a
remote translocator on his body. The result was that Druinen was able to
teleport his body back with no degree of difficulty or interference. Also, to
cover up the remains of Void, Druinen teleported a fake corpse back to Void's
original position.
After deliberation with his peers, Druinen was able to confirm that the
sniper's near half vaporized body was beyond help. Fortunately, he was able to retrieve the internals from Void before he died.
After the creation of the V-02 model, and the coding of the
Void_APF.EXE program, Druinen decided that Sage was in the need for an overhaul as well. Using the scrap metal from Void's armor and exoskeleton, not to mention tons of other kinds of sources, the WYS-3 support unit was completed. The new model of Sage was three times as taller and twice as big.
Seeing as stealth was not a concern, Wyse was outfitted with numerous abilities and weapons. Sharp Omnium feathers for both slashing and projectiles, Tritanium grasping claws and a extremely powerful ion cannon in the beak that can severely damage or deafen the average reploid in seconds of prolonged exposure. Wyse can easily carry Void on its broad back, and can even take a second passenger in its claws.
Special Abilities :
Void_APF.EXE - One of the defining moments in remodeling the new Void. His creator saw an obvious flaw, in that Void and Sage were not working at top power. Thusly, he formalized a blueprint in which Void and Sage were able to fuse, allowing Void to have extra energy and new abilities. However, it seemed that the small Sage wouldn't offer much to him. Thusly, from the remains of Void's old body, Wyse the Great Owl was born. With Wyse's new power output,
the two were able to fuse successfully.
Void_APF.EXE, meaning All Purpose Fighter, allows Void to deal fighting
situations with different kinds of abilities. In melee weapon fighting, he can use arm blades generated from Wyse's wings or basic hand to hand fighting. At medium range, he can use his Desert Eagles or razor sharp feathers from Wyse's wings as projectiles. At long range, he can use the Vajra. In APF mode, Void can also fly, which gives a great tactical advantage.
Appearance -
Void wears a different set of armor than he used to. The black with
gold trim has been replaced with a more ornate looking set of armor, with
the color scheme of black with dark red trim. He does not wear his
trademark helmet anymore, not wanting to hide behind a helmet anymore. Void also does not wear the black tattered cloak anymore. He now dons a long, dark red scarf instead.
Personality -
Brash is a good way to describe Void. Before, he was silent and kept
things to himself, but now he has a more "Up in your face" attitude. He doesn't take shit from anyone, even through the sights of a firing squad, his superiors, etc. The only people he really respects are Arin, a mercenary and friend alike, and Kirisu, for her deep hatred for snipers (which he finds trivial and hilarious).
History -
After his defeat at the hands of 'Tiger Eye' Remington, Void was left
for dead on the streets of Serbia. With his program downloaded to his
creator's lab, he perished on the debris filled street.
A few hours after the evacuation of the whole battlefield, Void was
still strewn in the street. His animal ally, the owl Sage, placed a
translocator upon his body, giving a clear signal to his creator for a teleport back to the lab. This was accomplished flawlessly and Void was sent back to his
creator and father, Dr. Druinen.
The good doctor, his associates and their assistants, put all the time
of the day into finding a way to ressurect the fallen one. However, the
frame was damaged beyond reckoning and half of the body was vaporized by
Remington, putting his body as only a source for spare parts. Now putting their time into designing a new version of Void, the scientists hastily got to work, trying to save Void's life. Even though his mind and soul was in the lab's main computer, it was not long until the enemies of the good doctor would find them.
These enemies, the Duncadian council led by Overlord Crag, who used to
have Void as his personal brainwashed assassin, were also on the move,
creating a massive army of the sniper with a more destructive mindset than the
original. Also, Crag's scientists have created different variations of
Void, hoping to create a mass murder machine.
With all of these in mind, it takes them one month of almost non stop
work to finally created V-02 and the WYS-3: Void 2.0. and Wyse, an upgraded
version of Sage. After the install, everything was the way it was supposed to go. That is however, until the secret base was discovered by a
sentry of Void clones...
