Laser Pistol - A medium range laser based gun. Rei almost always carries this with her.
Special Abilities :
Animal Ally - Cerberus, a Hellhound model Cyber-wolf. Claws and fangs are his primary weapons, but he's also equipt with and ice beam. Cerberus is incredibly loyal to Rei and is usually found glued to her side. Rei got him as a companion and as protection. Cerberus is very in tune with Rei's moods and responds to them. He only tolerates those she feels comfortable around, anyone else is kept at bay. He is especialy vicious towards males.
Appearance -
Rei's an attractive girl, even though she tries her best to hide it. She has short, indigo blue hair (it used to be long, but she cut it) & stands 5ft 8. Her eyes are crimson without a visible pupil, just a solid colored iris. Her armor is grey with lighter trim, she wears a helmet, and sometimes a grey-brown coak over her armor, especially around strangers.
Out of armor she wears a plain shirt & army-style pants, all of her clothes are colored either grey or black. She also occasionaly wears an oversized black jacket & a dark grey hat.
Personality -
Rei has a dark, somewhat gloomy air to her, and always seems to be rather lonely,a fact she won't deny. She rarely smiles or talks to anyone she
doesn't know, often walking away from conversations . Although she does
converse with Cerberus.
She tends to shy away, keeping her emotions and feelings walled up, spending time in quiet places by herself. She doesn't like being touched and rarely talks about herself, and never talks about her past.
Rei is not one to put herself on the line for others, in fact she's quite the opposite. Having no trouble whatsoever in sacrificing others in order to save herself. She has problems trusting others.
History -
Rei was built by Mavericks, part of an experimental project to create more
effective virus carriers called 'Sirens'. As the name implied all the
projects creations were female reploids, which lends to method that was
expected to be used to spread the virus. Although only a handful of them
were built.
Rei wasn't happy with the idea, refusing to do what was expected of her.
Instead she focused on fighting, training alone anytime she could. After a
few months she was given up on as 'defective' having grown increasingly
independant and defiant. Left to survive on her own within the Maverick
ranks. Life became a daily routine of fending off one attack after another,
and attempts to re-program her. Constant brutality hardening her, becoming
soley focused on keeping her own life, and caring not for anyone elses. Her
skills as a fighter growing sharper as the months passed. Though she had
little intrest in following orders, something that wasn't looked upon well.
Getting her into more problems.
The higher-ups finaly came up with a more effective way to get her to fall
in line. One that had been more recently used to correct similar 'problems'.
The assassin unit called the Hawks, or more to the point, the Hawks leader
Baraku. Rei became the first, and only female member of the group. Making
her an instant target for the others, up until Baraku decided he wanted her
for himself. Baraku was happy to have a new plaything, and the added
challenge of trying to break her. Although Rei detested it, the other
option was considerably worse. So she was forced to play along biding her
time, till an opportunity to escape presented itself.
Oddly enough Rei's chance for freedom came in the form of the Mavericks main enemy, the Hunters. The Hawks were sent out to eliminate a Hunter patrol team, but things didn't go as they had planned. Rei leaked information
regarding their plan to the Hunters, allowing them to get the drop on the Hawks.
Whether or not any of them survived, she didn't care, her only thought was to make good on her escape. A life alone was better off than the one she'd left behind.
