Plasma Cannon - Standard issue.
Lightning Chains - They look like normal chains, however when they
strike hard onto any surface they charge with electricity.
Wheel Conversion - Overdrives legs can transform into a set of six
wheels that move him around rough terrian and through traffic. He can change back
as well.
Beam Saber - Just an average beam saber, nothing special.
Appearance -
Overdrive is 6'2, dressed in black armor, and has tires
all
over his body. Three on each leg, three small tires on each arm, for
his
joints, and one on the back of his helmet. His helmet is the only part
of
his outfit that can be removed easily. For the rest of his suit, only
the
tires can be removed. Under the helmet he has black hair and pale
white
skin. His eyes are set up like traffic lights, RED is stop(means
anger),
Yellow means caution(He sense danger), and Green is his standard eye
color,
which of course means go. The color of his eyes can be seen through
the
visor on his helmet easily.
Personality -
To a person who doesn't know him well, Overdrive seems
like a
collection of emotions that had no theme or sturcture to them. He
believes
that life is short so he should make the most of it, but he also slows
down
his pace if someone is in trouyble or distressed. Always one to leap
headfirst into danger with no fear of the consequences, he believes it
is
his duty to do what he can for the good of all. He does enjoy talking
his
way out of situations, but his short temper seems to get in the way of
his
sweet talking. Overdrive loves speed and driving off-road. He
basically
has the attiutde of a pro-skater when it comes to speed and tricks.
History -
A sob story, his past is not, but it has been filled with it's
share of hardships. Overdrive was built as a butler type robot,
however he
was left unfinished by the company when they went bankrupt. He was
found a
few years later by a group of mechanics and fixed up so he could talk.
He
still was unfinished but he didn't mind it at all, he liked having
people to
talk to, people who seemed to care about him. It wasn't until later
when
those mechanics left him in the same place where they had found him,
and he
was alone once again.
The next time he saw light, was when a lonely scientist opened the
doors to
the storage facility he was left in and took him back to the lab. The
scientist got all of Overdrive's parts working and was greatly
distressed by
the fact that Overdrive was unfinished. Even more distressed was he
when he
learned that Overdrive was always like this. The scientist asked
Overdrive
what he would like to be upon completion, and the reploid simply
replied,
"Fast." The scientist was hit by a ray of inspiration and created
Overdrive
to be built for speed. He added tires to his joints to make them
operate
faster then normal, and he constructed his legs in such a way that they
would transform into a set of tires to make him travel tough terrian
faster.
Overdrive was happy to be complete, he thanked the scientist, and
then
left for the outside world.
During his time outside he discovered a flaw in his system, he was
extremly
vunerable to Ice, in fact, he was so weak to Ice that being in the cold
was
like having lasers burning off his flesh and wires. When he returned
to the
lab where he was completed the scientist was gone, leaving only a note
which
simpl said, "I know how to fix you. Find me and we will talk."
Overdrive
was not pleased by this display and went in search of the scientist.
He
found the scientist to late, he had been murdered by a Maverick named
Pox,
and he had stolen the very thing that could have fixed Overdrive.
Overdrive has of course, swore vengance againest the Maverick and is in
a
never ending seach for the maverick, and the part that could fix his
allergy
to the cold.
