Plasma Cannon - Though Maq prefers fighting with her magic and her bare hands, she will use
her cannon when the situation calls for it. It's not overly powerful, but it does it's job well enough for her.
Animal Ally - Scorpion, Maq's pet reploid Komodo Dragon. He has the body and poison of a
regular dragon, but has the personality of a human and the mentality of a dog. She rarely uses him during missions anymore,
and he mostly just sits around in her room, getting fat.
Appearance -
Maq is considered very pretty, but not glamourus. She's got a bit of a tom-boy streak in her, and wont wear a
dress unless she has to. She's more likely to wear jeans and a t-shirt. She takes alot of pride in her golden hair, wich
hangs down to her thighs, and she usually wears it down so people can see it swish. The only feature she doesn't like is her
eyes. She doesn't like the purple color to them, and would much prefer a blue to match her armor. But Dan, her creator and
father, was adament in not letting her change the color. She has a small, green triangle jewel embeded in her forhead that
she hates with a passion, but she cannot remove it, lest she die.
Personality -
Maq was always a joyous, bubbly kind of girl, until after she became the CO of the SG. After that, there was
alot of weight on her slender shoulders, and though she tried to remain cheerful, it began to take it's toll on her. And
now that her lover's keep disappearing on her, she's really melencholy. However, if you happen to catch her at a time when
she's dating someone, she's much more cheerful then when she's single. She's a very sensitive person, and is much more
emotional then she'd let people know. On the battlefield, she's able to harden herself and fight like a demon, but after the
battle is over, she usually finds a quiet, secluded corner to cry her eyes out. She is much better at ground fighting then
any other, and she relies more on stelth, cunning, and speed then on brute strength. Maq also has a deep sense of
responsibility, and as such, she tries her best to take care of all 'her mercs' as she calls them. The mercs jokingly refer
to her as their 'mother', since she has the tendancy to mother them outragously.
History -
Maq's history is rather lengthy, although she isn't that old. In her short life, she's managed to get into more trouble then
most people would get into in a thousand lifetimes. Maq's beginings were humble. Her father, Dan Crasher, had built her to
fill the loneliness in his life after his true son had abandoned him centuries ago. For her first year of life, she grew up
in the village that Dan had started, where reploids and humans lived together in complete harmony. Maq was content, and
lived life like a normal girl. Dan tried to dress her in nice dresses, but Maq wouldn't hear of it. She insisted on jeans
and leather breeches. She even started to 'walk out' with a young man from the village. But all that changed when one day a
young man staggerd into the village, bruised and bleeding. Though Dan was no doctor, he helped nurse the man to health. The
man took a rather disturbing interest in Maq, and refused to leave her be. Once he was healthy, Dan politly, but firmly,
told him to either leave the village or take up residence somewhere else. The man expressed his gratitude and left quietly,
or so everyone thought. That night, while Dan was out, the man snuck back into their home and brutily raped Maq.
It was at this time that Maq learned of Dan's greatest enemy, Lady Knickara. The young man left a note saying he was her
general, and thanked Dan for his hospitality and the use of his daughter. Dan was outraged, but Maq was horrified. She went
into a state of shock for several months, and nobody could reach her. Dan was begining to think he'd have to erase her
memories of the incident when Maq suddenly snapped out of her trance. Before, she'd been a lovable, trusting, and bubbly
young girl. When she emerged, she became hard, almost emotionless except for hatred, and left home to learn how to fight.
She ended up with the Freelance Mercenaries, and there she endured hardship after hardship. Her tough layer began to fade
away as her comrads treated her like a sister. It wasn't too long until she was back to being happy and bubbly, when Knicks
struck again.
Knickara sent her general, called Shi-Yoake, to capture Dan's daughter in order to force her under her control. Unfortunatly
for maq, Knickara's plan succeeded, and Maq was put under the control of Knickara. Knicks had no problems handing Maq over
to Yoake, and the tormenting resumed. At the time, Maq had no outword emotion, so strong was the spell she was under, so it
didn't appear to hurt her. In the end, Dan learned that Knicks' hold over Maq's body was too great, and had to kill her to
free her mind. Maq's entire being was poured into one jewel, a little green gem, and from this, Dan built her a new body
(and that's why Maq has to keep the jewel lest she die). When Maq awoke, she didn't remember anything, or at least that's
what she told everyone. In trueth, she remember everything, but instead of going into a trance like she had before, she
nursed a seething hatred for Knickara, and swore that no matter what, she'd kill the demon before she could harm anyone else.
