It was the 9pm, the next day and the Ducks were all in the locker room, talking. They had just finish practice and they were all tired and exhausted.
"Hey coach," Charlie said suddenly "About the new girl, we don't mine her coming."
Coach Orion smiled, pleased with the Ducks decision. "I'll tell the board at the meeting tomorrow."
"So, coach, What this girl's name? Or do we have to call her 'new girl'?" Russ Tyler asked. Everyone laughed at Russ's joke.
Coach Orion smiled. "Yes. She HAS a name Russ. Let's see.. what was her name.. Oh yes. Jane. Jane Fox. I'll let you all know whether she accepts it or not when I know. Now get change and go to bed. You have classes tomorrow."
Two days later, the Ducks were all in Coach Orion's office. He had call them there for a meeting.
"Well, I have some news for you," Coach Orion told the Ducks as soon as they settled down.
"What kind of news, coach?" Mendoza asks.
"It's about the new girl, Jane. The board called her yesterday and she accepted the scholarship. Anyway, she'll be coming down here this Saturday and I will be going over to the airport to fetch her. Anybody who wants to come?"
"I'll come," Charlie said almost immediately.
"Yeah, I'll come too," Julie said
"Me too," Connie said. She nudges Guy. "Uh, I'll come."
Soon all the other ducks agreed to go.
"Well, we'll meet here at my office on Saturday at 9 in the morning. Don't be late or you'll be left behind. Ok. That's all."
"I can't believe she's coming this early," Fulton said to Portman as they walked back to their dorms.
I mean THIS Saturday. That's only two days away. I can't wait to see her. Maybe she's hot."
"She's from LA. People there are damn rich,dude!" Portman said. "And if she's pretty, she'll be mine in no time."
"Over my dead body,dude," Fulton replied jokingly.
"Hey," Julie said. " We don't know how she looks like. Whether she's good kid or how good she plays or anything. We have to wait till we see her first. Anyway, I want to make her feel welcome when she comes to Minneapolis. I know how it's like to be new. "
"Julie's right. We have to make her feel welcome." Charlie said.
After that they all when back to their dorms.
