Charlie Conway lay awake in his bed. He had just woke up from a long sleep.
He saw his bestfriend Adam Banks sitting at his desk doing his homework. He finally got out of bed and stretch."Hey Banksie."
"Oh, hi Charlie," Adam responded realizing that his friend was awake. "So what do you want to do today?" Charlie asked Adam.
"Don't know. Study maybe. There's a test tomorrow."
"Urgh.. study," Charlie replied as he got ready. "Hey, let's go get breakfast. I'm starving."
"Ok. Just let me get this done first," replied his friend.
He got up and they left their room.
Julie Gaffney and her bestfriend Connie Moreau were walking towards the dining hall when they met Adam and Charlie. "Hi guys," they greeted the boys. "Hi," Charlie replied. "So, have you guys studied for the test tomorrow?" Julie asks.
Charlie just grin at them. "Me? Study?"
"Haha. Come on. Are you seriously telling me that you have not open your book at all??" Julie asked.
"Charlie's too smart. He doesn't need to study," Adam said, grinning.
"Very funny, Banks," Charlie said punching Adam lightly in the shoulder.
They reach the dining hall, and when to get their food. Soon they join the other ducks at the ducks table.
"Hi, guys" Charlie greeted them. " So, are you all ready for the test tomorrow?" Guy asks the ducks.
" I don't think I'll ever be ready," groan Goldberg one of the Ducks goalie. Julie was the other.
" We'd better hurry up. We've got practice later. Coach Orion is gonna get angry if we're late," Adam reminded the ducks.
Soon all the Ducks were in the locker room getting ready for practice. The room door open and Coach Orion entered. "Attention, please."
Everyone in the room look up at coach Orion.
"The Eden Hall academy wishes to give a scholarship to a hockey player from Los Angeles. They want this person to join the Ducks but they want your approval first. The player is a very good hockey player. I've seen tapes on the player."
"Hey, coach is it a girl or a boy?" Averman ask.
"It's a girl. Discuss it together. Ok, time for practice hurry up."
It was the same day that coach Orion told them about the new player. The ducks had just finish training and were all talking in the locker room.
"So what do you guys think about having a new player?" Charlie asks.
"Its cool," Connie said. "Its about time we have another girl in the team."
Portman just groaned. "Oh great! Another girlie girl!"
Both Connie and Julie glared at Portman. "Sorry!! I didn't mean that!!"
"So do you guys want a new player?" Charlie asks the Ducks.
There were a couple of "yeah" and "sure".
"Right. I'll tell Coach Orion our decision then."
