Website background/explanation
While reading the Left Behind series of books (by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins ), I felt like I was being led to the portions of the books where the characters were sharing their faith. First Rev. Billington shared his faith through the videotape he made for New Hope Village Church. Rayford Steele, Chloe Steele, Buck, Bruce, Tsion, and many others then followed suit and shared their testimonies with others. I had always mulled around the possibility of having a web site where I could share my testimony and put forth my ministry, and I also had been tossing around the idea of an internet "prayer group" which could provide prayer support for anyone who wished to use it.The format would be simple. People on the list (or not) would send their prayer requests/ praises, etc. to myself via email, and I would then transmit them back out to the group. From the original 3 people that I talked to about this group (thanks Irene, CJ, and Martha!) the group has grown to it's current approximate size of 20 people, spanning from the reaches of California to New York and even up into New England. However, there's always room for growth! If you would like to be added to the group, please let me know and I'll add you
Biblical/Theological Statement Romans 1:16 says "I am not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then the Gentile." It is my hope and prayer that this website will be a reflection of Paul's words, that God's message and plan of salvation through Jesus Christ is for EVERYONE. His grace is not limited to the denomination you attend ,the Version of the bible you use, or whether or not you've sinned before (which we all have done.). Christ's blood is sufficient for all, He died for us, and it is by His grace through faith that we are saved. (Eph. 2:8-9). It is my prayer that the studies and other messages presented here would reflect that as well.
