May 26: First Full Day

I went swimming this morning. It wasn't as warm as the pool the other day, and I gave up after about 15 minutes. Then when I came back to the room, I told Rich I wanted to feed Hatchlings: he had the computer, continued with it for another 20 minutes trying to find whatever it was he wanted, then he got annoyed with me when I went to feed Hatchlings. Grumble.

We headed north to find the lube shop he'd seen. Way up north, in an industrial backwater, and it was closed. Aha, across the street I see a WalMart. They'll do it, I say. Rich really didn't think they would, but eventually we went over to the WalMart to the "tire and lube" department. It would have been too long a wait today, but he'll come in tomorrow (and I can feed Hatchlings!)

I had solved a puzzle cache online, and thought I'd copied it correctly into the GPSr, but either I blew it or Rich, not listening, headed for the wrong waypoint. After we fought and argued and yelled at each other (gee, isn't this game FUN?) we found the cache.

Then we went to the Lakeview Museum. We got in free because of our local museum membership. They have an art exhibit of polarized filters that was just stunning. Then we did the other caches in the park. We couldn't find one of them and were in a hedge when the phone rang. It was my daughter-in-law wanting to meet us for lunch.

So we went to the restaurant and had a very nice lunch with her, her mother, and the Graduate. Then we took our grandson caching while they went on. We found 4 caches, including one that we couldn't find last year. Our grandson is handicapped so we had to be sure we had easy terrains. I decided to run a query of only easy terrains so he could do more with us tomorrow.

Our son made spaghetti for dinner and then we played Carcassione which is great fun.
