4YA Company (A Young Achievement Australia Enterprise) is organised in March in a form resembling a corporate structure. There are approximately 20 members in the company, they are the Board of Directors and together they:

• Capitalise their company by selling up to 500 *$2.00 share certificates
• Rent and/or lease space and equipment
• Select a product to make or a service to render
• Produce,market and sell their product or service
• Pay commissions on sales
• Pay wages and salaries
• Keep true records
• Pay tax on profit
• Disburse profits equitably to shareholders
  
  Every week the company is allocated 2 hours for a formal board meeting where they discuss current company issues and work within their departments.

  4YA operates with the following departments:
  Sales & Marketing, Purchasing/Packaging & Distribution, Finance, HR and the Secretariat Department.

  In short, members of 4YA meet the same challenges and responsibilities that face today's corporations.
