For general information on I.D.E.A. see the "About IDEA" page; for information on the authorization of I.D.E.A., see the "Legislative History" page, and a link has been provided to a chronology of the Disability Rights Movement timeline from San Francisco State University's Office of Human Relations' Disability Programs Unit that dates back to 1817 on this page. For a quick list of pertinant legal issues see the "Search Brief". More in-depth resources are available on the following pages, including Federal and State legislation, an annotated list of cases, a page of legal articles relating to I.D.E.A., a page of books, treatises, and theses/dissertations on I.D.E.A., as well as a list of websites, organizations, and contacts.
This pathfinder was developed as part of the requirements for Law 698R, Intermediate Legal Research, offered through the University of Arizona Law School. The format has been based on that developed by Rosemary Streatfeild in her Central Arizona Project pathfinder, also for the University of Arizona Law School. The author of this pathfinder, Pamela Force, is a student in the graduate program for Information Resources and Library Science at the University of Arizona.
