A whole lot happened, but really the line, tony got shot, brings it all into focus.

Yes, ok, review late, again!, sorry, perhaps thursday's a good day for it, before we see the next episode, hmm dunno, good enough excuse I suppose.

Right, on with the show. It's episode 4, Just as episode 3 had a lot to stand up against, so does 4, this time last series, jack killed eddy and the guys, a dog, and discovered the weapon he was born the use, the pump action shot gun!!, all that and the reintroduction, kind off, of Nina, EVIL!!!!!!!

Lets get the formulaic bits of the episode out the way right now, CTU have yet ANOTHER meet, it's again at the START of the episode, and again gives new viewers all they need to know to start watching the series for the first time. The only slight difference, is that is one is chaired by Michelle, oh poor michelle, husband just been shot, and she has to stay there and deliver lines to remain people what's been happening the past three episodes. Having said that, her performance was top notch, nice to have someone other than kiefer get some emtional scenes.

The other formulaic bit, that I usually hate, is the Mexican Drug dealer and Girlfriend combo, which I have to admit to actually quite liking this week, hector showing cladia's brother to use a gun did flesh hector out more as a baddie, but i'm still gonna need a bit more convincing.

What else was there, oh yeah, wayne showing that he's actually loyal to his brother, by walking away from the pay off of david's girlfriends ex husband, I'm glad he did, showed he had a little more going on than the character of sherry rewritten as a man.

The real meat of this episode was chase showing just how similar he is to jack, you know that had jack been in the same situation 10/15 years ago he would have done excatly the same thing, tried to beat info out of ramon. Another point of interest was the way jack looked at chase, as if he where his own son. Have a look at the way jack looks at him when saying "yeah where okay", just before jack double crosses him. You'll see what I mean.

The cliffhanger was well non existent, you had jack setting all the prisoners free, but that was done a few minutes before the end of the episode, so it doesn't really count. I have to say, the end of the episodes haven't really had the shock factor as series one did. They always linger, why must a last 10 seconds of every show be an almost still image of jack looking into the distance just past the camera???, it lets it soak in, and defuses the tension.
