Ian
Gifford - Ian started For The Folk in
March of 1998 with the encouragement of Longtime CHRW DJ
John Gardi (John just recently gave up his show
"Just Folk" to make room for Allison Brown and
will certainly be doing guest appearances in the Future).
Ian has also recently decided to take a hiatus from the
show to persue other audio ventures and work within the
theatre community. Ian and Allison still collaborate
musically and are pleased to announce the release of her
newest CD "Everything that Shined", produced by
David Essig and with artwork by Ian. 
Allison Brown -
Allison is the newest addition to the "For The
Folk" Family. At her young age she is an old soul
with a great wealth of musical talents and Knowledge.
Currently working as a solo performert, Allison has
worked and toured with cousin and longtime musical
partner Erin Gignac.
Allison's radio show style, is a show all it's own. Her
favorites include Erin McKeown, The Road Dog Divas, James
Keelaghan, The Be Good Tanyas, Eve
Goldberg, Perth County Conspiracy, Wortley Road
and Penny
Lang. With a big smile in her voice every week,
Allison will put you at ease and fill your head and heart
with some of the sweetest music this world has ever
produced.
Allison has also been involved in organizing and
volunteering for many festivals and concerts and shows
great promise as an entertainer to watch out for. With a
recent tour under her belt that took her all around
Ontario and as far as Winnipeg Manitoba, Allison is now
building a steady fanbase all around Ontario and beyond.
On June 10th,2005 Allison released her debut CD
produced by David Essig and entitled "Everything
