This will be a very rough guide for Kellie so
that she can start to watch season 4. I advise you save this page
(Ctrl-S) and you read it offline - much quicker. But there are
links at the bottom of the page so see them. I did these in different
orders so they may have something already said in them, written
like you don't know it. Generally, the main things that happen
are:
- Angel returns from Hell (he spent a couplee hundred years there),
he is all feral but his love for Buffy brings him back. He wants
to know why he returned - all a big mystery.
- Faith, a new Slayer turns up cos of Kendraa's death. <Faith
Hope & Trick >
- Xander loses his virginity to Faith. <TThe Zeppo>
- New watcher turns up when it is made apparrent to the council
that Giles is to close too Buffy ("Like a father to her").
His name is Wesley. <Bad Girls> I think.
- Faiths accidently kills a mortal starting her turn to the bad
side. Everyone tries to help her, significantly Angel. <Bad
Girls>
-Angel dumps Buffy, tells her he's going awaay after the Ascension. <The Prom>
"Anne"
Buffy in elsewhere, another city ... Los Angeles maybe ... it's
a while after she sent Angel to Hell because it was the only way
to keep Hell in Hell and Earth as normal as it was. He had been
turned good by Willow and she's all distraught about the whole
fiasco. She's working as a waitress where she's calling herself
Anne (her middle name). Along comes a customer - a girl who was
one of the worshippers of the Lonely Ones (Vampires) but was now
with a boyfriend - who recognises her. They both have tattos on
their arms - each half a heart with the other person's name -
which are huge. Well, anyway, the guy disappears, the girl (formally
known as Charlette or something) asks for Buffy's help, she finds
his body all old and wrinkly and identifys him by the tat. It
turns out this evil dude is taking them to a Hell-like place where
time moves much faster than on Earth (this is just like the Hell
Angel is at) and working them as slaves. Buffy gets herself sent
down there, saves the day, gets the surviving people out of there
and the place's doorway closes up.
Back home in Sunnydale, Giles is searching for Buffy, going off
all the time, all over the country, looking like he really needs
a shave. He goes to see Buffy's mum and he tells her not to blame
herself - she doesn't, she blames him ("You're not to blame
yourself" - Giles. "I don't, I blame you" - Joyce).
This is kinda significant. Meanwhile, the Scooby gang (Willow,
Xander, Oz and Cordellia) have organised themselves into a killing
gang, slaying vampires at night.
Buffy finally comes back, turning up just in time to save her
friends from a vamp, everyone's happy, bla-bla-bla. "Dead Man's Party"
Buffy's friends organise a welcome back party. No-one knows how
to act around her. She isn't in school, of course, 'cause she
was expelled. Buffy and Joyce are trying to get her back in. Joyce
has this mask which ends up raising the dead all 'round Sunnydale.
They are sort of called to the mask. The dead kill a whole tonne
of people at the party. Buffy had almost left again before they
turned up cos she heard Joyce talking to this lady - who she'd
become friends with while Buff was away, who later dies in the
episode - about how she'd come to be used to Buffy's absence or
something. Willow a Joyce find out and both get upset. Willow
tells her (Buffy, before Joyce comes in) about how she can't go
and how she has had to deal, by herself, with being a witch and
having a boyfriend (a warewolf one at that), both things that
are new to her. "Faith Hope & Trick"
Faith, a new Slayer turns up with Mr Trick and this other dude
after her. The dude had killed her watcher and I think her family
*It would all have been easier if you'd just agreed to watching
4 episodes a night - fume, fume* was also killed by this evil
vampire dude. "Beauty and the Beasts"
Can't remember, I think this is the one where Angel returns after
Buffy places the ring he gave her on the ground of this place. "Homecoming"
The occurance of Slayerfest 1999. Mr Trick organises for all these
peoples (and non-peoples) to hunt the two slayers down. Only thing
wrong is Cordelia and Buffy are put in the limo instead of Faith
and Buffy on the way to the Homecomeing Queen ball (or something).
The two girls (Buffy and Cordy) had been fighting - both were
perticioning for Homecomeing Queen *hehe* and the Scooby gang
were all upset over the whole fiasco of having to take sides.
The hunters included two German dudes with lots of weapons, a
demon with blades in his skin, two cowboy-accent vampires (newly
weds I think) and maybe someone else I can't remember. All this
fighting etc happens with the two eventually killing/scaring off
them all. They finally turn up, covered in twigs and dirt with
their dresses and hair a complete mess to hear (approximately),
"For the first time there are two Homecomeing Queens".
It ends up being the two other girls - not Buffy and Cordy
who we are led up to expect. "Band Candy"
dunno "Revelations"
dunno "Lovers Walk" Spike returns to Sunnydale and kidnaps
Willow in the hope of creating a magic spell that will make Drusilla
love him again. Very funny episode....mostly. Angel and Buffy
go with Spike for supplies while Cordy with Oz search for her.
Xander is also with Willow as at the time Spike gets her, Willow
is trying to make a de-lust spell for the two of them (her and
Xander) cos they both have someone else but are falling for eachother.
It turns out that Xander and Willow decide to have one last passionate
kiss just as Oz and Cordy enter (Oz had smelled her *hehe*). They
come down the stairs then they see what has happened and Cordy
runs back up them (I think that's what happened) and falls through
the rotting floor to fall on this spike on the ground below. Xander
goes down to try and help her but it appears she's dead (it went
right through her stomache!!!). She isn't dead of course. And
Spike had decided meanwhile that he was just gonna torture Dru
instead of the spell. "The Wish"
"Amends"
dunno "Gingerbread"
I think it's this episode where Buffy and Joyce are out
hunting (Joyce wants to know more about what she's doing) and
they come across these two little kids. They (dead kids) tell
the parents to get rid of the bad girls (Buffy, being the Slayer,
Willow and Amy, being Witches). They almost burn them on stakes
in the gym or town hall (can't remember which). The two kids are
really a demon which has done this gig for quite a few centuries
world-wide and was, they think, the basis of that story with the
gingerbread house (can't remember right now). Buffy kills them,
bla-bla-bla. "Helpless"
"The Zeppo"
Just a little, mostly insignificant episode. Xander is getting
annoyed at being such a dork so he gets his own thing (Buffy's
being the Slayer is hers, Willow's is Witch, Oz's is Warewolf,
Giles - Watcher, etc, etc) - a car. It causes him to get a girl
while geting donuts for the gang, then he takes her to The Bronze,
then, outside he bumps into the car in front of him. The car holds
a big bully who weilds a knife. The dude persuades Xander to be
the car guy for him and his dead buddy's - dude raises them -
who then decide they want to make him dead too (they want to "initaite"
him into their gang). Xander gets away, runs into Faith (new Slayer)
who ends up destroying Xander's virginity, then she kicks him
out. He then finds out that the dudes were making a bomb which
they place at the school. He goes there to find the Scooby gang "Bad Girls"
Faith accidently kills a man. "Consequences"
The consequences of the kill from the previous episode - Faith
tells everyone it was Buffy who killed him. Everyone knows it
was her though. "Doppelgängland"
Anya (from The Wish) accidently brings Willow from the other universe
back to the current one. Real cool. She's like this lesbian girl
and is so funny. At the end Willow asks whether the vampire
you is in any way the same as the human version. Someone (can't
remember who, maybe Buffy, maybe Giles) says no but then Angel
says "Actually...-" Buffy stops him from saying anymore.
This is something to remember, I'm sure it'll come back to haunt
us in later episodes. "Enemies" Faith appears uses a shaman's powers
to take away Angel's soul. She doesn't, of course, he just pretends
to to get info out of her on the ascention. He really acts like
he has no soul and until the last ten minutes or so we beleive
so - he acts so crewl and almost screws Faith (great
scene, but not in that way). "Earshot"
Buffy kills a demon from which she gets telekenetic powers. She
can't read Angel's mind (not fair) but she reads everyone else's.
A classic like The Zeppo. "Choices" The Mayor takes Willow prisoner after
Buffy and her friends steal a box containing demonic energy. Cool,
it almost appears that Faith is gonna return to the good side
... she doesn't though but shows us that she may come back - that
there is still hope for her. "The Prom"
Can't remember much. Angel dumps Buff just before the prom (crewl
guy). Some teenager had these Hellhounds trained to kill anyone
wearing a tux (hehe) but stops them. She then turns up to get
this thing - like class clown which Xander gets cut for not getting
(but the guy who gets it is an actual clown with the balloons
and everything) - "Class Protecter" given to her by
Jonothan, a real regular non-regular (he's in every few episodes
with mostly a small part). It's a glittered up umbrella that looks
way cool. They Angel turns up and dances with her. Another
significant thing is we find out that Cordy is working!! Her daddy
hadn't paid taxes for like 15 years and so thay were broke and
she had no dresses (all taken away from her). So she had a job
at this clothes store (we find this out a couple episodes ago
along with the fact that she has been accepted into a tonne of
great colleges - can't afford them though) to get enough
money for this dress. She ends up not getting the money in time
but finds out that Xander had paid for it which is so sweet. "Graduation Day Part 1 & 2"
Cool episodes. Basically, Buffy and the gang manage to organise
the whole year level to have all these weapons ready to fight
the evil Mayor whose ascention was to happen at their graduation.
He turns into this demon and an eclipse occurs (so the vamps can
come out to play). Lots of fighting, cool scenes. I'm sure it'll
be roughly told at the start of the new season of both shows.
At the very end, Angel keeps his word. They see eachother from
afar, then without either saying a word, as someone goes between
them, Angel disapears. They school was blown up cos that's how
they killed the Mayor - explosions were placed in the school and
Buffy led the serpent Mayor in, through the corridors then he
was blown up. Ooh, and Principle Snyder was eaten by serpent guy!
Ok, I wrote the above before re-watching part 1. In Part 1 Faith
kills this professer to "tie up loose ends" which the
Mayor loves to do. We find out that the Mayor is gonna do the
graduation speech. He eats these spiders to prepare his body.
Faith then, after Buffy met, at the professer's home gathering
up info on the guy (he had discovered this dinosaur like body
under all this old lava - a pure demon - which meant that after
the ascention the Mayor could be killed), Angel, shoots Angel
with a poison-tipped arrow. They poison has only one cure- the
blood of a Slayer. Wesley tells Buffy that the council insn't
gonna help cos they don't help Vamps so Buffy basically dis-owns
them saying that until the next Slayer comes along they're out
of buisiness. <this gives me the idea - has there never been
a Slayer that, like Buffy, dies and then is revived????> Then
Buffy goes and fights Faith ... to the death. We're left with
the scene of, after Buffy stabs Faith in the stomache with Faith's
knife (given to her by the Mayor), Faith falling of the building
onto this truck cos Faith doesn't want Angel to get the blood
and survive. That's that episode. The second part shows us that
she didn't die - she is put into a hospital. Buffy then forces
Angel (tempts him to the point where in animal instincts take
over) to drink her blood. She just suvives and the now healthy
Angel takes the sick Buffy to the hospital. She, after a blood
transfusion, is fine. Xander gets mad at him *hehe*. Well this
is when Buffy gets the gang to organise the whole year level to
have all this stuff (weapons, crosses, etc.) hidden under their
clothes (the moroon cap and cape) to fight the vamps when the
eclipse occurs. I think people agree cos Buffy is class
protector and the people had seen some pretty weird things.
One guy Willow was tuturing helps cos he's really scared of Wil
since her evil twin (the lesbian-like vamp version) bashed him
at the Bronze when she was in town. The End. Any other questions
call either before 7:30 (I may be having tea though) or between
8 and 8:30 or (and I'll have our new phone handy for this so as
to not wake my dad) between 9:30 and 10:40. Ignore what I wrote
underneath here cos I wrote that yesterday night.
