The Wish
(Sorry, this page is still being

In this episode Cordelia returns
to school after recovering from her injuries to find she has no
friends what-so-ever. Her old friends trick her into thinking
they were still friends with her "now that she'd come to
her senses" and "staying home for a week so that people
would forget that she had been dumped" was a good thing.
Then they told her it was time to start dating again and guided
her to a geek drinking from an oversided drink container and started
to laugh.
Her 'friends' walked away but the new girl - Anya - who had been
hanging out with her and her friends stuck with her and got her
talking about her experiance with Xander. Cordelia asked her where
she had gotten the "cool necklace" she was wearing and
was told that it was a family heirloom or something and that it
was kind of a good luck charm. The new girl then decided that
Cordelia needed her good luck charm on a necklace more than her
so she tied it round her neck and they kept talking.
The Anya then asks Cordelia what she would wish if she could wish
for anything in the world and she says that she wishes that Buffy
had never come to Sunnydale. The Anya turns around and says "done"
and everything is suddenly transformed and everything is grey
and there aren't many people around
Buffy finds Angel in a cage and
he calls her by her name. She wants to know how he knew her name
but then thinks the better of it as she's really popular now.
She kicks
open the cell door and moves down to break open the chains on
him and he flinches when her cross gets too close to his face.
She realises what he is and turns to leave but he says to wait
and he tells her how he was supposed
to help her kill vampires etc. in Sunnydale but she had never
turned up.
He goes on to say how The Master had imprisoned him when
he had risen but he had kept on waiting for her. He asks her the
question "Why else would he keep him locked in chains?"
She decides to free him but tells him that she wasn't going to
help him or anything if he got in trouble.
