champions are made of many things.some people take there grace in this world and live on forever..some in infamy and some in honor.I'm sure both can be said of micheal.On one hand he is an extraordinary talent whos always near the top.On the other side of the coin he is the arrogant classes winner everyone loves to see lose.while micheal schumacher i admit has won many races and a few championships ,i will never put him in the upper echelon of drivers.yes he mey be great..yes hes won alot of races BUT.. #1 whos he really faced in the last 4 years..It doesnt take a genius to see that the F1 talent pool it probably at an all time low and has growing that way for a few years..and like another fellow pointed out .Hakkinen when racing won 2 out of 3 over him..Personally half those wins in my book are meaningless considering the strength of the field hes faced in that time..I mean seriously think here..wheres his competition..ralph?....rubens barrichello?..Laugh laugh..oh wait strike rubens off ..i forgot he drives for the team who was indulgent enough to pay off the second best driver in F1 ..nice of them to be that rewarding..hmmm (dawdle dawdle dawdle) whos next ...oh right coulthard and montoya..Although coulthard is a championship caliber driver he still lacks any consistancy campared to having to face the likes of senna and mansell ..Montoya I think will challenge micheal but that will take time ..Oh and as far as records and performance go do me a favor..over the past 3 years go and look at farrarri's breakdown record versus every other team in the field..Micheal has an enormous edge going in in terms of dependability and that honor goes to the maker not the driver.for as having as little break downs hed have more poles and wins per season..heres a stat to look at in terms of dependability. in mansell's championship season he won 9 out of 16 races was on pole 14 times and won the first 5 races of the season..all are records to this day...the difference between schumacher is he hasnt put his stats up against legends ..Oh and about that crapp about Dc winning cause cause schumacher was stuck behind montoya..2 things..1 it might be hard to pass at monaco but i remember mansell starting from 13 or further one race and ending top 5 so dont tell me it cant be done cause thats rubbish..2 had micheal qualified better he wouldnt have been behind montoya and dc..you act as if qualifying has no particular meaning to the race..coulthard and montoya out preformed him and that in the end turned out to be the deciding factor..still though it comes back to dc performing better during qualifying.And finally folks..when i think of a champion I think of the driver..and the man..Micheal as a man is as classless as they come..incident after incident he shows his level of class..weather it be driving people off the road or post race interveiws on how well he thought everyone behaved (as if to give everyone his official stamp of approval).Micheal for his arrogance and shear nittwittedness will never fit into the greatest ever catagory..not unless we are talking about arrogance that is..sure hed win that award hands down.well thats my 2 cents worth and hey if all you farrarri fans are booing out there..thats ok cause i'm sure schumey has ole rubens on hands to take the jeering for him..lol...great driver awesome talent..but like my dad used to tell me.. farrari is just like a human they come with azzholes too..and he hasnt been wrong yet..peace out
