Kimi Raikonnen has qualified a magnificent 2nd as he endeavours to retain his slender World Championship lead at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. Arch rival Micheal Schumacher could only manage 5th leaving the German with a difficult task of climbing through the field on Monaco's tight and twisty street circuit. Meanwhile a poor second sector was the only fault in David Coulthard's Monaco qualifying. The Scot - fastest in the second of Saturday's practice sessions was fastest in the first sector but lost time in sector 2 and eventually finished a few tenths slower than team mate Raikonnen. German Ralf Schumacher, took his second career pole, beating Kimi by just 0.036 seconds in a thrilling qualifying session. Both drivers are optimistic in regard to Sunday's race | |
