11/10/03 - KIMI TALKS ABOUT HIS FIRST DRIVE IN THE MP4-19
Kimi Raikkonen completed his first day of testing in the MP4-19 today at the Jerez circuit. McLaren.com caught up with Kimi to get his first reactions on the team's 2004 challenger.

How did the MP4-19 feel today?
It was great to be back testing and of course to drive the MP4-19 for the first time at Jerez today. It is still early days as I have only completed one days running, but the car felt good and I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel tomorrow and Sunday, and putting in some more mileage.

What were you working on today?
This morning, the main focus was for me to get acquainted with the car, making sure I was comfortable in it and getting used to how it felt on track. Also, the track was damp in the morning, which meant that everyone's times were a little slower. Then during the afternoon, we continued the scheduled development programme for the MP4-19, and as is often the case with testing, you do a few laps and then come into the garage and changes are made and you then go back out to see how that feels. It was a positive day though and we will continue the programme tomorrow.
