CANADIAN GP 2ND QUALIFYING: McLaren are poised to lose the lead of both the drivers and constructors championships after a dreadful final qualifying session. David Coulthard was the top McLaren qualifier but could only manage a lowly 11th position. DC did nothing to suggest his form slump this year would end at this race. The McLaren MP4/17D struggled to keep on terms with any of the top teams, further highlighting the need for the new MP4/18. McLaren have however hinted a further delay of the new car citing new problems with the MP4/18 during the week. Kimi Raikonnen, who crashed his MP4/18 during the week made yet another error during one-lap qualifying and will start from the very back of the grid. Williams driver Ralf Schumacher took a second consecutive pole position from team mate Juan Pablo Montoya.
