Team McLaren Mercedes tested conducted the first serious test of their new MP4/18. For regular drivers David Coulthard and Kimi Raikonnen, it was the first outing in the new car. Both indicated their satisfaction with the potential of the new car. "Obviously it was fantastic to be driving the MP4-18 for the first time,he said on Thursday afternoon. The team completed a positive programme and the car felt good". Raikonnen echoed David's opinion. "I really enjoyed my first test of the MP4-18 and the car felt good", said Kimi. "We completed a number of laps and obviously I'm learning about the car all the time. Every time I went out it got better and better".
