A World Assunder is not built around levels andclasses
as with most muds, but is built around an individual's glory andthe clansystem
that supports that individual.� Clans exist to provideshelter, equipment,
quests, training, teachers, and so on to its members. Clans are grouped around
ideas and ideals, not just around being the best.� Clans that are found
not to follow their founding idealogy are destroyedbythe Angels, every member
is considered killed by someone in their level range.� This may seem
draconian, but, although not a role play mud, AWA takes theme seriously.�
This does not mean that a clan's theme cannot evolve over time, and don't
worry, a warning and inquiry will be made before a clan is destroyed!.�

A World Assunder opens in mid-May for beta testing.� So as yet,the clan
system is still being designed.�
It is the imps' hope that clans will serve in the place of classes - as places of learning (both skills and a trade) - andthe place of 'real life' organizations.� We hope to have an enforcerclan that will act to enforce - through bruteforce if necessary - pacts, treaties, and deals made between characters orclans (for a fee of course!).� We also hope someone will take advantageof the special economic system that will be in place when the mud opens foralpha play (normal usage) in the beginning of June an d run a mercantile guild.
Clans will serve as enforcers, as places of learning, as guilds, as places of war, and for whatever else players decide to usethem.
