Benjamin:

..well, the Band was founded back in 1994 by 2nd Guitarist (and former singer) Manfred. The first Flowing tears gig took place in December ´94, and that´s when I heard em for the first time - I was impressed! And right after the gig the boys asked me whether I would like to produce their first demo, and so I spontaneously did.So some weeks later I started producing their first demo tape "Bijou", still more as producer than as a bandmember, but when right after the recordings the former Guitarist left the band, I finally joined em - and the first definite Band line up was born:

and that´s also the line up that finally recorded the 2nd demo tape "Flowers in the rain" and then in 1996 the debut CD "Swansongs". After "Swansongs" came out we felt that we were ending up in a dead end street, as on "Swansongs" we did this "slower, more depressiv & sad"- thing into the extremes, so we didn´t know what should come next..... to that time we wrote more and more ideas that went into a more melodic direction and those ideas demanded for a melodic voice - well, Manfred couldn´t sing melodic, so we decided that he would chance over to the position of the 2nd guitarist, and we would look for a new singer... not particulary a female one, we didn´t plan that, we just were looking for any new voice...well, and then one day bassplayer Frederic came into rehersal room with a girl he knew from school - Stefanie.. well, we did a few rehersals together and Stefanie joined the band....the next months became something like a 2nd birth for the band....like a self discovery of a band....the result was "joy parade"... so far to the beginnings of the band.
