The pictures above are all of the same champagne dwarf hamster in different lighting. *Champagne combines 4 color genes: black (aa), black eyed argente (bb), opal (dd), and red eyed argente (pp). A hamster must have all 4 of these genes from BOTH parents, to appear champagne in color. Champagne hamsters have red eyes and are a very pale color. Something close to a computer keyboard but not quite. Dark beige and Champagne can be hard to tell apart when the hamsters are older because the black gene will cause both to silver and look very similar.
